Happy Thanksgiving, Teamers!
Sam/Martouf/Jolinar/Lantesh would have been an interesting dynamic to explore as a thread. It wouldn't need to be major, intrusive part of the story (like some romances we could mention, ahem) but it was an interesting dynamic and another facet for Sam which was unique to her, completely different from Teal'c's Jaffa story thread, Jack's Asgard thread and Daniel's Ancients. It didn't need to be romantic, they could have played up different aspects of Jolinar/Lantesh's relationship. But, of course, to do that, TPTB would have had to understand that there is much more to the interaction between people (and symbiotes) than just a romantic attraction, which might have been a bit of a stretch for them.
We don't do Thanksgiving over here, but I hope those of you on the US side of the pond have a good day.
