That is the original gate address of Atlantis when they first dialed it in Season 1 Episode 1. However, I too am looking for the gate address in Adrift when they went to the new planet. I do not think it was ever revealed in the series.

I have this sucker that i had been thinking of getting for some years. I finally did it im pretty happy about it. Also btw it was between this and the heru-ur hawk symbol. I want both but they would seem to contradict each other. I may get it either way. Btw this is my first post im a newbie here so i hope its ok

Ok so im newbie here this is my first post. And here is my tattoo very easy to understand. Thought about getting also the symbol for heru-ur hawk. But it seems to me they would contradict each other. Tell me what you think especially if you think it sucks. Just be sure to include why.

I decided to get this done, Its my children's name written in the language of the ancients. I love stargate and everything about the universe it created. I plan on getting a sleeve with various coordinate branching out, that is as soon as i find the time to design it lol. Enjoy

I've noticed no one has posted in here for a while. irhino2 your tattoos look amazing! Your artist did a great job.

I have the earth symbol on my left wrist, and next week I'm getting all of the milky way Stargate glyphs on my right arm! I'm so excited. At some point I'm getting an SG-1 patch, as soon as I figure out where to put it.

Has anyone had Ronon's Satedan military-rank-neck-tat done on their neck? Or anywhere?

I'm thinking of getting it but might opt for having it on my upper chest or on a bicep as opposed to my neck.

This is the best image I can find of it on Ronon himself:

From what I can tell comparing multiple images of the tatoo from different sources, it seems to be in roughly exactly the same location on his neck, however earlier versions have the reverse-scythe part slightly elongated.

This is the best template I can find of the tattoo itself which seems to match up nicely with what it looks like on his neck in the above image:

So unless anyone can provide any more helpful info, I'd probably print out those images along with some others of it to better show the location on his neck, and have the tattoo artist use the template image and the placement on his neck to put it on my neck in the right place. I just don't want to get it wrong in any way if I were to have it to done on my neck, as it's not really something you can cover up or fix easily.

That template looks great to me, but I understand your hesitation. Covering something up on your neck is hard, but there is not much else I can add to this other than that I would love to see the final product when you had it done!

I would like to know more about the actual insignia itself, but there seems to be very little known about it, for example, we've guessed that it's some form of Sateden military rank, right? But do know what rank? I'm pretty sure it was never mentioned in the show whatsoever, because I just finished a rewatch of SG-1 and Atlantis, and I don't think it was ever even spoken about - there's more info on the one he got done on his arm due to them working it into that episode where his old Sateden buddy did it than there is on the insignia.

From the brief shots we've seen of Ronon on Sateda fighting with the military, he appeared to be leading some kind of force, so we can assume at least equivelant to Major or Colonel? It would just be nice to know the details because people are obviously going to ask about it and it would be nice to have a full answer and not just "uhh.. well... this guy on this show called stargate atlantis.. it's a military insignia thing.." haha. yeah.

Thanks for the help! I was digging around at the same time it seems and you missed my edit:

I was looking at Satedan wiki pages, and on Tyre's it lists his rank in the Satedan Planetary Forces as "Specialist".
Was he working with, or under Ronon?
Actually, looking into it more, according to this page: http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Satedan_Planetary_Forces Ronon was also a Specialist, so I'll take that. I'd like to know the exact source of that information, but it seems likely seeing as how skillful he was along with Tyre and the rest of his team, they were probably all 'elite' Specialists in the military, comparable to maybe a SEAL or some kind of special ops in the real world? Either way, sounds legit and cool so I'll go with calling it that.
