It's supposed to be the city, but you can't get that much detail in that small of picture, so it's just a kind of out line.

I thought so, but I wasn't sure. That's why when I get mine I may or may not put something inside.

I thought the one with the city inside looks really good- i could tell which photo it was from - it's pretty clear for a tattoo - like you said for such a small area the detail is good.

I've thought about that, but I'm going to get it on my back between my shoulders, so all that event horizon will be painful. Especially since it'll only be my second tattoo. Plus I want the Stargate itself to be the main focus, so the event horizon might take away from that. I could always add something later.

Actually, the back isn't too bad if there isn't a lot of shading. Still, I would just go with getting the gate for now, because like you said, you can add on later. I am wanting to turn my gate and city into a half sleve, maybe with the Daedelus, a Puddle jumper, a dart? Who knows, just getting small things like I have all over leaves room to add, I plan to add to all of mine!

Actually I want mine to be in color and I'm going to have all the chevrons lit up.

I think a puddle jumper shooting down a dart would make a cool add on.

I chose the Atlantis gate because I thought it was more elegant and beautiful than the gray of the Earth and Milky Way gates. Which gate were you wanting and how big are you wanting it?

Oh, something else to think about is cost, it can get expensive!

I want the Milky Way gate. I like it better than the Pegasus gates. I'm planing it to end somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 down my back. Yeah, I know it's gonna be expensive that's another reason I don't want to put anything in it yet. If I want something in it I'll wait till after my career gets going and I have money.

That's a good idea, I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday and it cost 40$.
This SGA one I just got cost me about 180$, I think I probably have around one thousand dollars in ink on me already and I only turned 20 the 18th of july. They can become addicting too, I would know, I get one about every three or four months! That is why I am broke and have no money to go to conventions. That, and I live in Kansas, but still!

Fortunately the career I'm going into pays well. I just realized that I can get it right when I turn 18 cause when I move out my parents are giving me like 1800 dollars or something.

That would be nice, I still live with my parents because of medical conditions, but am hoping to move to Colorado to go to culinary school to become a pastry chef in January. Lucky for me I am an only child though!

there is a quote in the bible that says that you sould not put any "picures"tatoo's on your body....
but it is "connected"to tatoos to honor the death...

Well, I'm Catholic and as you can see, I have seven tattoos, some very vissable and large and I'm still in my church!

I think the DHD would be good on the back,

However, I think any of the symbols throughout the SG universe would also be good.
Especially some of them already mentioned hear.

However, I personally go for Legend of Zelda tats myself.
Tho i wouldn't mind getting something in Ancient.

Hey,

I didn't know where else to put this, so I'm sorry if there's a thread about it elsewhere. I did a search and didn't find one, so I guess I'll start one.

I'm in the process of getting a stargate tattooed on my back. I have the outline and the shading done, and once that heals, Im putting in the symbols and the event horizon.

I guess I was just wondering if I'm alone in this venture, or have others done the same.
