Hey Campers,
This may have already been asked at some point, but I'm curious. Does anyone out there have/want to get a tattoo that deals with Stargate SG-1? Does anyone think I'm whacked because I have one? Again, I'm just curious.

woww... can you post a picture of it?
What is your tattoo of???
Before I did think about getting a tattoo of something from Stargate, I never really decided what but i've still got a few more years to think about it yet cause I'm not old enough to get a tattoo without my parents permission and I really don't think they would approve of me getting a tattoo especially a stargate one!!![]()

Getting that was a very bad idea. I bet it's the Point of Origin, isn't it?Originally Posted by Bandersnatch

You can bet I'm not compensating for anything.
Personally I'd never actually get a tattoo. But if I did get one (and a Stargate related one at that) I'd have the Earth PoO tatooed on my forehead. To signify that I'm a jaffa serving Earth. Or something.
I briefly thought about the symbol for Earth on my ankle, but decided against it. I do like (and am considering) the eye of Horus which basically looks like the eye of Ra but with a much more positive meaning.
I have a single curling wave on my ankle cos I'm a beach bum at heartIs there any possible Stargate connotation to this??

I wonder if there's a Goa'uld who's all about water and the ocean (chances are I'd follow him/her...

Oooo, cool, an earth point of origin... that's kinda cool![]()

The eye of Ra is a part of the eye of Horus.
Personally I'm thinking about 4-5 tatoos. All sci-fi related.
That's gonna be fun to explain to your grandkids.

And why is that? Do you explain why you change haircolor, pierce your years and stuff like that? People like different things, I like strange hair colors, piercings and tatoosHave had 5 piercings myself, but removed them.
I've got two tatoos (neither Stargate related, sorry) and view them as works of art. Granted its art i'll have the rest of my life, but if you truly love what you get then it won't matter. Persoanlly, I think the only reason getting a tatoo is foolish is if you do it when your not in the right state of mind (i.e. drunk, high, or in love)

I think an SG1 tatoo is cool, actually. I wouldn't mind the SG logo on my arm.![]()
I was think about the earth PoO... but now that we have mostly figured out the ancient alphabet... I'm thinking about getting a phrase in Ancient... hey people get phrases in chinese tattooed this isn't that different.

My current and possible future tats are all in the sci-fi/fantasy realm (although not specific to any show). I kind of consider the eye of Horus the same way because well.... not to offfend any true believers, but I just don't think the stories of these gods were true.Personally I'm thinking about 4-5 tatoos. Thought of that actually! In the end I think I decided against it more because I decided against putting one on my ankle which is where it would have gone.Originally Posted by Anthro Girl
I have the eye of Ra tattoo on my shoulder, and I may get the Earth PoO somewhere, I haven't really decided yet. I don't think it's wrong to as a tattoo should mean something to you, and if Stargate is revelvent to you, you should get it!

Hello Campers,
My tattoo is, as some of you have already guessed, the Earth point of Origin. It is on my left forearm and is done in black ink. The symbol also bears the initials “LTS” below it, meaning “Life’s Too Short.” I borrowed this saying from Mr. Richard Dean Anderson because it means so much to me. I’m not going to get into the details – those are reserved for those tolerant enough to really know me – however I will say I feel greatly indebted to RDA for sharing his outlook on life. It changed mine from the first time I heard it – sound too dramatic for you? Well, I’m afraid it’s the truth – no way around it. I never want to forget him or Stargate for that matter. The influence they’ve had over me has been immense. I’m hoping that somehow, one day, I’ll be able to thank Mr. Anderson personally – though I know I’m more likely to be struck by lightening, twice, in the same spot, than this wish ever coming true.
Please don’t judge as being a “gang-banger” or “rebellious” me for getting tattoo. Every time I look at it, I think of what once was and now what is – and of course the man inadvertently responsible – and I’m truly happy. I’ll carry it with me now for the rest of my days and beyond.
