Favorite scenes of Season 9 (SPOILERS, whole season!)

Well, that's one interesting season over There were also some great scenes in it. What is everyone's favorite scene from this season?

Mine is the burning of Vala. That's was INTENSE! Up to the last moment I was expecting something to happen that would make them spare Vala, after all, she's one of the good guys
Wow, TPTB have gotten darker I love it so long as it doesn't become Battlestar Galactica (it's an awsome show but I don't watch SG-1 to be depressed >_<)
Took me several weeks to get over the shock. That scene was so amazing... I think it's my alltime favorite

    So, what's yours?
May our transmatter beams cross again...

Here there are a few moments that impressed:
    Spoiler:

    - when Daniel and Vala walked through the City of the Ori
    - when the first prior arrived in the Milky Way Galaxy
    - the construction of the supergate
    - the Gerak-Teal'c confruntation
    - the Orlin speach to the cancer man prior
    - when Vala says that Tomin is a gentle person
    - when Carter is beamed on an element of the supergate
    - the opening of the supergate and the reflection of the event horizon seen
    - the emerging of the toilets of doom
    - the BATTLE

It's poinless to negotiate with people that say "I'm sure we could work somethin", because rest assured that they will not pay. And yeah....

Agree, this was very INTENSE and I can hardly wait to see the whole scene on the DVD. And it's No. 1 on my list too.

      Another favs are:

      1) pillow fight in Avalon pt. 1, it makes me ROTFLOL every time I'm watching it
      2) Vala admitting that only part of her didn't want the baby to survive her being left for 3 days without food and water, while another part of her wanted the baby to survive
      3) chocolate on Vala's nose and interaction with Sam about it, that was really great
      4) "found your glasses" in The Ties That Bind

      as for CGI:

definitely the opening of the supergate in Camelot, that's really impressive

The way the event was forming in an apparent slow mode was better than an instant. Gave time for us to assimilate and realise the magnitude of the event.
The kawoosh looked like a solar flare.

I also liked the Vala's dream, very creepy moment.

For me it definately had to be the opening of the supergate and the resulting battle, that has to be one of my favourate scenes ever.

Hard to say. This season has had a massive amount of 'wow' moments. In fact, there was almost one in every episode.

Here are some I can remember:
                The Burninating of Vala
                The City of the Gods
The whole of Vala's planet bowing to the Ori
The contruction of the original supergate
                Multibaal
                The Anubis Clone
Gerak's priorisation (the final scene of TFH 1)
Mitchell's dream/memory sequence from CD (and his fighterjet memory)
Walking through the SGC with multiple SG1's
                The destruction of Prometheus
The bugs bursting out of the dude in the gamma site gate room
                The Zombie Sodan
                The Supergate opening
                The Battle

Mine would be the flashback to Lost City
                    Vala burning
                    Baal speaking sans goa'uld voice
                    Any Daniel moments in Prototype
                    Garek and Teal'c in TFH - 2
"We're not done yet, not by a long shot" - Cam's finest moment
                    Janet
                    Martouf
                    The fate of the Prommie
                    Starship Troopers "Is it humerous?"
Teal'c Taking a swing at Cam
Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.

Favorite scene for me is easily the destruction of the Prometheus. I felt it was very well done and actually sparked a bit of emotion and shock in me, which tv rarely does now. Loved it. Was my favorite episode all season because I felt the emotional reactions were done so well.

                      Other faves:
                      • Vala, then later Vala/Daniel, burning
                      • Daniel's speech about the Ori in The Powers that be
                      • The ramp sequence at the end of Prototype
                      • Daniel and Mitchell with the Prior in Horseman pt2
                      • Teal'c and Gerak in Horseman pt2
                      • Martouf and Janet returning in Ripple Effect
                      • Daniel and Sam together in Arthur's Mantle
                      • Daniel mourning for his friends in Ethon
                      • Team doing what they do best in Camelot

Out of the 20 episodes, there's about 16 that I enjoy rewatching and 4 which I generally pass up. Decent ratio for the show I reckon.
Four out of five voices in my head agree: I'm ok. It's the fifth one that scares the hell out of me.

I agree, while saddening, the destruction of the Prometheus this past season was really well done. TPTB really knew what they were doing in that episode.

As for those other scenes, all were great ones.

                        I'd have to add though,
                        1) Mitchell in any of his sword-fighting scenes ;
                        2) The Supergate opening in "Camelot" (simply stunning effects);
                        3) BB pantless in "Ripple Effect" (I was LMAO over that one).

Mitchell vs Black Knight II. The music, the choreography, and the acting just do it for me. No where near the epicness of The Battle or the agony of watching Prometheus go down in flames, mind you, but still very worthy of rewatching.
