Hey anyone just watch How Shatner Changed the World on the History Channel? Just aired at 8PM-10PM.

It was about how the tech of Star Trek changed the real world. And, the last half talked about the different Star Trek series and how it went downhill after TNG.

I highly disagree. But it was interesting. The creators of the "infotainment" piece made the argument that after TNG the succeeding shows DS9 VOY and ENT didn't enspouse Roddenberry's view of the hopefull future. And that was why Star Trek's ratings slipped. I kind of disagree. I think its a bit more complex than that. Besides, I personnally think DS9 is the best series.

Any thoughts?

I agree with you, DS9 was a fantastic series (personally my favorite as well), and even Voyager and Enterprise were very entertaining.

Damn, I would've loved to have seen this! Hmm, as it was on the History Channel, it's probably been on Sky. Has anyone in the UK seen this yet?

It's set to begin running in syndication on Spike like fall I believe. If it's two episodes a day, they'd run through the entire series in like, 20 days!

Saw it last fall, it was great, disagreed with what they said about post-TNG series as well. And I want that Enterprise phone that scientist guy had.

I'd read that it was an intersting show (but forgot to watch it). As for which was the best Trek? Ah, that's so subjective. For me it will always be the first one, no matter how awful season 3 became (Spock's Brain). DS9 lost me when they brought in the blasted Klingons.
