Yes, they would. Even though we've added a lot of technology, as a species we really HAVENT' matured much if any at all.

If anything we are just as young. I think the Nox didn't only mean the tech level when they called us "young"

Keep in mind, we as a species, have barely matured at all during the past 9 years.

Comparing say a crocodile to a microbe and a crocodile to a tadpole, a tadpole is still young.

We achieved, and continue to achieve all our 'victories' through violence.

I'll have to say yes as well...we have learned much over the last 9 years but not much of it is of our own progression. We have been implementing our technology with that we have been able to retrieve through the Stargate. Once Earth's people, as a whole, can begin to learn this knowledge and put it to our own everyday uses.....then maybe we will "Grow Up" in there eyes.

Earth can never mature in the Nox sense without the entire planet being made aware of the stargate program and everything that has been learned from it.

And quite frankly if being mature is turning into a tree hugging hippy then I´d rather stay young

Which has allowed us to survive in the darkest of times (battling Anubis, defeating the Replicators, defeating the Goauld). I admit that war doesn't always solve everything, but fighting is necessary for your defense (and Earth definitely had to be defended after Ra got killed).

    What's wrong with that?

I wouldn't want the same thing happening to us as to the Tollans.

i think they meant that the human race is just too unaware and selfish and the way we deal with problems sometimes isn't the best.

i think any of the other people's in the universe of Stargate would think of us higher as a planet/culture if we would just try to get along with each other in our planet and work together, and most important, be tolerant.

(granted in the series there are the few individuals that show the potential of our race/planet to other species.)

and 9 years isn't a long time. (in all relative sense, eh)

Yeasureyoubetcha! We haven't come very far on an evolutionary scale, not far at all. We're still killing each other in the name of god; false or not. We're still poisoning our own atmosphere. People are still starving. Diseases still rage out of control. We may have dodged the 4th horseman lately, but War, Famine and Pestilence are still knocking on our proverbial door. Just because we've been able to help the Asgard out of a few jams, (even though at least one involved saving the galaxy), they still see us as nothing more than a tool to use when necessary; and a tool that needs vast improvement before it will ever realize its full potential.

I don't even think we've reached the technology level of the Tollan yet, and they're dead. I think the Nox considered there race to be 'young' and we're no way as near as thier sophistication yet!
Even if we beat the Goa'uld and they snuffed it under a rather futile system lord, can't remember who.
Back onto the subject, I hope to see more of the Nox in the future, thier last appearence was Lya's rather surprising entrance in the court on Tollana, where Skara's trial took place (great ep!).

They still consider us 'young' and I think while we've come forward technologically, I think we've went back slightly morally. We always seem to be 'right' now.

I completely agree with you on that. No appeasing the Nox by becoming hippies.
