    Spoiler:

More Battlestar Galactica Spoilers for Season 2
A New Cylon Model and New President Too!
December 22nd 2005 08:25pm | Posted by: Jim Iaccino, HNR Associate Editor

Some Battlestar Galactica spoilers were announced on Shaun's Subject2Discussion internet talk show this past Tuesday night, December 20.

A new Cylon model will make an appearance in the two-part season finale, "Lay Down Your Burdens." His name is Brother Cavel, and he is played by noted actor and sci-fi veteran, Dean Stockwell. One of Dean's most memorable roles is Al - the hologram on the critically acclaimed Quantum Leap series. It is speculated that Cavil will be a member of the Cylon religious order, hence the designation Brother.

Also of interest is which Cylon(s) will be extending the hand of peace to the Galacticans. Although it has been reported that Leoben will be the envoy, new information indicates that Number Six and Boomer will be the goodwill Cylons.

Other Galactica spoilers have just been revealed. As HNR reported earlier, another noted actor will definitely be making a guest appearance in an upcoming episode: none other than Dana Delaney (from China Beach). The role she will play is Sesha, a terrorist, on the episode "Sacrifice." And for a time Vice-President Gaius Baltar will reach an even higher rank: that of President. This does not mean that Laura Roslin will die; quite the contrary. However, as she recovers from her illness, Baltar will assume that lofty post and become the political leader of the Galacticans - for better or worse.

Certainly, these spoilers suggest some interesting developments in the remaining 10 episodes of Battlestar Galactica, which will resume airing Friday night, January 6, on the SCI FI Channel. For those who have not yet checked out this series, please do so. It has been designated THE NUMBER ONE SHOW of 2005 by Time magazine.

    You will not be disappointed.
