What should be the fate of Sharons baby? spoilers

Umm.....the baby should live to be use for research and proof that cylons and humans can have kids. But why haven't any other couples try to have their own children yet? I'm sure a few have tried and where are the kids in the fleet?

the human children in the fleet are probably kept as safe as possible from the possibility of cylons in the fleet and on ships towrds the middle in case of outside attack. remember they are the future of humanity, they must be protected. Like rosiling said they only way to survive and beat the cylons is to "start making babies."

The Cylons apparently tried to reproduce with each other, but Cylon-Cylon sex is fruitless. So they tried Cylon-human reproduction (as most adult humans can have kids easily) but that was not very successful. Note that Sharon didn't say it was totally unsuccessful. So they tried to improve the odds with love, which does change the environment of a woman's uterus, and that worked.
