Custom Avatar

Hi how do i use a custom avatar, ive seen ppl with avatars that dont show up in the avatar list in the cp and i cant find any option to u/l an avatar.
Help anyone??

Once you've reached 1801 posts or so, you'll be able to upload your own av. Until then, you must cope with av envy.

Well, I'm a third of the way there I'm looking foreward to 801 posts for a larger selection of avs.

You don't get to have a custom avatar until you have 1800+ posts. When you have 800 posts, you will have a larger choice from the avatars in 'my controls'.

Seriousy what's the biggy with avs? This question is being raised all the time lately, shouldn't it be in FAQ's. The mystery of when you can get a custom av has gone out the window it's been posted numerous times when it happens. IMO people post threads like this as a way of hopefully changing Darrens mind and letting us have custom av's earlier.

IMO the only way to stop threads like these is to either lay it on the line in the FAQ or to let us have custom av's from the start.

I like custom avs because I'm a fan of a great many shows and stuff, not just Stargate SG-1 or Stargate Atlantis... They also don't have avs for some characters or pictures I would like to have...

I mean, they'd NEVER have a Sark/Vaughn animated av for me to use

The 801/1801 levels are good to have but sometimes I wonder if it'd be better if they had quite a few more levels, restricting the choices when people join and slowly giving them more, then maybe people wouldn't be so disatisfied with having to wait so long, it's nice having something to look forward, but 801 and 1801 are a very long way for many.
