Lucian Alliance? Question

I don't ever remember hearing anything about this Lucian Alliance, so i was wondering if anyone could point me to what episodes i would want to see in order to learn about the Lucian Alliance.

i ave no idea i was just reading a spoiler for one of the late Seaosn 9 eps of SG-1 and it said "More on the Lucian Alliance" so i'm thinking what the hell is the Lucian Alliancen, and the onyl season of SG-1 i havm't seen is Season 7 have only seen one sepisode which is Space Race Might i add that was awsome

The Lucian Alliance is mentioned in "The Ties That Bind," and probably comes up in an earlier episode. It seems likely that they are somehow connected to the Ori and the Priors, but we don't know anything about them yet.

If I were to make a guess, I would think they are the aliens we saw near the end of Prometheus Unbound.

But that was just two of them with green phasery things against Daniel in a super suit. They didn't stand a chance.

Plus we don't know what the rest of their technology is like.

ya, i was wondering if they were ever going to bring back this lucian alliance thing. so those green guys were part of the alliance? weird. there was a new clip of them in an episode of s9 in the sci-fi channel special last night. they were like running through a forest or something.

Well, Lucian sounds like it may come from the same root as Lucifer. Specifically, most of the Latin words I could find that seem related to "Luci-" seem to be related to light. In fact, the word Lucifer translates as "light-bearing" or "light-bringing" so that seems like a good guess that the Lucian alliance is trying to "enlighten" other beings. Remember, the Ancients and Ori are related and the Ancient language is basically Latin so this is probably a pretty accurate guess.
