    Breeder reactors?

Based on the info we learned about Naqradria in Fallout, why hasn't anyone tried to make a Naquada/Naquradria breeder reactor? When the Naqr. breaks down, it would not only release greater energy than Nq, but convert surrounding Nq, into Naqr, and since it would have less Naqr anyway, it wouldn't have the same uncontrolled reaction that a pure Naqr reactor would have.

I was under the impression that Kelowna had that whole naquada/naquadria conversion thing going on, was because of whatever some Goa'uld did thousands of years ago in his expirements. Maybe the Tau'ri can't replicate that?

Actually that would be relativly easy to replicate. However even though the naquadah and naquadria were combined there would still be the unstability of the naquadria, it wouldn't work, eventualy you would just put in less and less naquadria, eventualy making it only naquadah. Also breeding the naquadria and naquadah would weaken the potential energy of the naquadria, because you would have less, thus taking away from the point of using naquadria in the first place. Also I doubt that the naquadah naquadria combination wouldn't work in a traditional naquadah reactor, or a naquadria one, you would need a combination reactor. This wouldn't work at all. You still want to have naquadria in the equation, Naquadria itself is an unstable element, any amount of it would be unstable, it is impossible to use for anything practical, except blowing stuff up, which, for that , it would be incredibly practical.

I think the whole point was that Naquadria is inherently unstable is the problem. Sure, it might be able to release tremendous amounts of energy at a time, but it's a continous flow of stable energy. That's what the whole Buffer thing was for in Prometheus; to output the energy into something usable, which would be constant and continuous energy.

it really depends what you would want to use this naqudria for, in most cases a naquadah reactor is sufficient to power what you need, and the teams should consider conserving the naquadria, the only naquadria that they have is on kelowna.
