Should Jack O'Neill be required to surf?

Being that Jack O'Neill is the name of a world famous surfer, and has an eyepatch! Should the character surf Big Waves?

Actually, unless you're under 10 years old, you've most likely seen his clothing line. Especially if you watch BayWatch. Or gone to a beach. Minnesota has some great surfing!
It was meant as an ironic question

hmm i write fan fics and I made this one where all the sg1 characters were high school age and I put jack as a skater/punk kid so I guess I would have to say yes I could see that. (also seeing as how my story was set in so cal and if you skate there you usually surf too)
