Something's been bugging me. In "A Matter of Time" Ep. 2x16, the SGC is dialed into a planet being sucked into a Black Hole. At one point in this episode, Carter's looking at a computer simulation of time dilation effects the Black Hole is causing in the Gateroom.
Anyhow her simulation shows time dilation being projected out into the gateroom from the wormhole, but the effects apparently don't extend BEHIND the Stargate, only in advance of the wormhole. So suppose you were on a planet where this happened, would you be safe as long as you were physically behind the Stargate??? Theoretically could half of that planet (behind the event horizon) be uneffected while the other half is?
Someone please explain this to me, it's hurting my brain. Also, any screencaps of the computer model would be most appreciated.
