What is the point in deploying in F-302s before travel and extending the bubble and wasting precious ZPM energy. Why not just have the F-302s in the Daedalus' hangar bay and deploy them after reaching Pegasus Galaxy. It's like on earth, the aircraft carrier travels with the planes rather than the planes fliying out to meet though there are some differences. Also the F-302s would have much smaller naquadriah generators and can only make limited hyperspace jumps not like the Daedalus with its Asgard engines. Also it may be too risky to deploy them, given the number of darts out there.

Even if it is risky, the F-302 is like the royal air force during WW2. Outnumbered but more flight experience.

How do you work that out, Many battles have the 302's been in. Then compare that to the race who used their darts to take control of an entire galaxy, culling a 1000 oddd worlds along the way & who have been getting regular practise unapposed for the last 10,000 years.

Many of the F's did Prometheus have, 8 I think. So Daedalus will presumably have slightly more ranging from 10 to 16. Put them out against 1000's of Darts & they will be nothing more than target practise. Don't forget, look at what a Dart did to the PJ in Atlantis.

I agree with Ganjaman using more ZPM energy to surround the 302's in the bubble is just stupid. No one knows how much precious energy that could take out of it & with the certainty that more Wraith ships will be heading to Atlantis in the very near future. Surely they would want to get the ZPM to Atlantis as fully powered as possible.
