For me, and this is just me, when they got shot of Jonas SG-1 died. I just loved the character so much and Corin IMHO was treated so badly that, SG-1 died for me. I was originally a huge Dr Jackson fan but I moved on and then they did that to him. For shame! 
Thanks for the interview, it was interesting to hear him talk about bulking up for the role after realising he would get lost amongst all the hulks on the show. Even Carter! 
Must say I do prefer him trimmer.  
Man, I forgot just how much I missed him.

Jonas Quinn was a great character, though I agree Daniel Jackson should have come back I don't think they should have just got rid of Jonas. I was expecting to hate the series without daniel but it was actually a really good series and Jonas was a great addition to the team.

I really enjoyed this interview.
It's kind of funny, in retrospect looking back at the entire series, Jonas ended up being my favorite character followed by Teal'c (then Daniel).
Daniel Jackson was initially my favorite character, but ultimately I feel that his character changed from what the core ideas were. I still like the character and I can understand, from a character development standpoint, how Daniel could become snarky and somewhat bitter, but I miss the Daniel outlook from the early seasons.
I think Jonas brought this outlook but to a greater degree than Daniel ever did, and I think some of the reason is because Corin seems to be like this in real life, so it seems to carry onto the screen too.
Any who I say all this to say, that SG-1 is still one of my favorite shows of all time, and I like all the characters, but Jonas is truly missed. I hope he returns one day.

Totally miss him, but at least I've got my DVDs but I'd still love to see Jonas in one of the SG1 books
