GateWorld on iTunes! ... and a Podcast?

GateWorld is now on iTunes!

Our first step in leaping onto your iPod is with our existing audio interviews. Subscribe now and get the latest audio interviews automatically downloaded to your PC or iPod, and sift through the archive to pull out some chestnuts from years gone by. (We've been publishing audio interviews since Season Seven of Stargate SG-1.)

The newest 20 interviews are currently online, with the full archive coming as soon as iTunes updates from the feed.

What is the future of GateWorld on iTunes?

In addition to the GateWorld Audiocast, we are working on rolling out the GateWorld Videocast, with all of the site's video interviews plus selected features from GateWorld Play, our daily video channel. The Videocast will include interviews, trailers, "Omnipedia Unplugged" and "The Phenomenon" installments, and other special features.

We're also considering adding Fan Videos to the Videocast, and would love to hear from you as to whether that is something you would like to have.


GateWorld Podcast

Beyond the iTunes syndication of our existing interviews and video features, we would still love to launch a regular (weekly or biweekly) GateWorld Podcast, which would feature Stargate news updates, site updates, fan discussion and commentary, previews of interviews and other upcoming site features, and more.

However, David and I are rapidly reaching the limits of our available time. What we need is you -- that is, if you are excited about joining the team and running a regular podcast. You should have the following qualifications:

* 18 years or older
* A good voice for audio / radio
* Possesses basic audio recording and mixing abilities (and software)
* Enthusiastic and highly motivated
* Highly motivated and driven
* Committed to meeting a regular production schedule
* Creative and motivated highly
* Did we say highly motivated?

To be frank, we need someone who is excited to do this and to be creative, to work without a lot of oversight or hand-holding, and committed to doing it on a regular basis for the foreseeable future.
