Re: INTERVIEW: David Hewlett (Rodney McKay)
Nice interview. Very upbeat. I really like (what I know of) David Hewlett. He has a great sense of humor. Makes me want to go pre-order A Dog's Breakfast.

It's relatively short. Read it!
It was very positive.
I'm glad to here (from an actor) that they do seem to be spreading the story wealth around a bit. He seems to enjoy working with both Jewell and Amanda. And David Ogden Stiers.

Re: INTERVIEW: David Hewlett (Rodney McKay)
Oh, don't get me wrong, it's freaking David Hewlett, of course I'm gonna read/listen to it.
Still, it'd be nice to get a relatively time frame as to the events DH is describing in the interview.

Remember to go to the bathroom before the show starts.....where Mr. Hewlett obtains his infinite wisdom, I cannot guess.

This interview was conducted during our set visit at the end of March, during the filming of "Lifeline."

Re: INTERVIEW: David Hewlett (Rodney McKay)
Thanks!
GREAT interview Darren, truly awesometastic, to the max. Hearing David joking around the praising how this season has been fun and stuff is really making me even MORE excited about Season 4 (I think I'll explode if this keeps happening)!
Wonderfully done!

Re: INTERVIEW: David Hewlett (Rodney McKay)
Well it is always nice to hear from David *I mean the guy is just so quiet* thank you Darren.
I am not saying anything about Carter or David's take on McKay.... I have said all that before in the Thunk.
Anyway, it is a nice plug for A Dog's Breakfast, and you can't ask for more then that. *waits impatiently until September* Why is everything happening in September?!

Ah...yet another SGA-actor-talks-about-Carter-interview
Seriously...every interview is how character X gets on with Carter, or how character Y gets on with Carter
I would have liked a question about how McKay is going to get on with Sheppard/Teyla/Ronon/Weir/Zelenka/Lorne this year.

And then there were the bits where he talks about McKay and Jewell/Jewell's character. I was surprised at how much he talked about her actually. And how others were getting some stories. And (although he was careful to say 40 eps didn't affect story quality the last two years ) how tptb have more time to play with the scripts.
Lwts not forget about him talking about A Dog's Breakfast.
Yikes! It wasn't all about Carter! He was answering a question. One that was posed long before most of the other interviews posted, so it was fresh *then*. And David likes Amamda - and likes to work with Amanda - so of course he's excited.

Re: INTERVIEW: David Hewlett (Rodney McKay)
Good interview, Darren, but can you tell us when (what month) it was done in? You said 'recently' in the interview but that's pretty vague, and some of us track these interviews and like to put them in a timeline. Thanks.

He already answered.
Not sure I'd call the end of March "recent" but I guess it's all relative.

I'll admit I didn't bother to read the thread as nobody but me seems to ask the date question so, oops Anyway, no, March isn't really recent. Just wish the date (don't need the exact date) was just listed at the top of the interviews.

...
DH has never made it a secret that he enjoys working with AT, and playing McKay opposite Carter. Why is it such a surprise that he's saying it now when they're working together full-time?
Besides, during the press tour, he mentioned McKay/Ronon and more about McKay/Keller. McKay/Sheppard and McKay/Zelenka have always been obvious dynamics in the past, so why would he need to mention them again?
I honestly don't remember this much criticism when McKay/Sheppard dominated the series. Now, at the mere *thought* of Carter taking over, people are jumping all over interviews - of actors, no less.
