Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
Did anyone know about Hammond being in it? They either kept that a very well kept secret or I haven't been paying that much attention to the spoilers.
So, Landry is president and has made the US a dictatorship, Rodney and Sam got married (and then divorced), Prometheus was never destroyed, Lorne is Leader of SG1, Sam is still major, Atlantis hasn't been discovered, Mitchell is a wreck, Vala's in jail, stargate is public, and basically everything is screwed up.
Certainly a great episode though! 9/10

I didn't know Hammond or Lorne would be in this episode, to see them both early on was great and then to see David Hewlett's name at the start was another bonus.
A great episode and hopefully one day we'll see Ancient Drones destroy an Ori ship.

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
Didnt think there could be three good episodes in a row but there you go!
Intriging plot and showed the dangers of whats happening in todays world.
and the ending between Sam,Teal'c,Vala and Cam really seemed genuine not like in previous episodes.
9/10
Didnt see ne Drones taking on Ori Ships

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
oh wow! what a superb episode! i mean everyone has done alternate realities where the characters are the same but different (if you know what i mean) but the whole story was so deep and entralling! i liked it better than "The Quest II" and it didn't even have a dragon!
i almost cried for Cam!
and i loled at McKay! so many funny moments in such a dark episode! Masterpiece!

I knew Lorne would be - the girls in the Kavan thunk thread have been going nuts over that all afternoon

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
I'm a bit puzzled where's Jack ? Did we see the Antarctic chair being used ? Did they beat the Ori?

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
Masterpiece of an episode... just... wow!
I laughed out loud a lot... but then there were brilliantly dark moments too... hat off to Ben Browder, he played it perfectly...
Nice to see Sam dressed up a little too

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
Excellent episode. If the rest of Seasons Nine and Ten had been like this episode or "Line In The Sand", I would have enjoyed them a heck of a lot more.
AT did an absolutely fabulous job with this storyline and I liked the twist of Sam being trapped in an alternate reality not because she couldn't get back but because she wasn't allowed to. I also liked the little unexpected surprises, like AlternateSam having been involved with the McKay of her reality and Major Lorne leading SG-1 instead of a more obvious choice like Jack, Mitchell or AlternateSam herself.
The fate of AlternateMitchell was another surprise. I think that BB did a good job with him, such a contrast from his more happy-go-lucky counterpart.
I thought that the ending was a very sweet touch, with Teal'c, Vala and Mitchell revealing that they had spent so long talking to an empty room to keep Sam company. I wonder what they did say to her - any fanfic writers want to take that on? Vala's impulsive hug was nice too.
It was nice to see them caring about each other. They seemed more team-like than they have in a long time.

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
I'm so glad I don't read spoilers anymore... Hammond AND Lorne! Very happy. Really enjoyed the episode too, even though not so much enjoying the SG-1 Tuesday night/Atlantis Wednesday night thing.... much more fun to watch one after the other. Can't believe we only have 7 episodes left I am not looking forward to 8 weeks time...

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
Seeing Mitchell like that reminded me off Colonel Dagg(sp) from Forest Gump!
Also, I love the first scene between Sam and McKay, when he thinks she's a lesbian.

Re: The Road Not Taken (1013)
This episode completely RULED man.
GENERAL HAMMOND!
I did not expect that.
And Major Lorne, who seemed important at the start then completely vanished.
Odd...
And McKay was there, being not as good as usual. Where was the arrogance!?
Anyone else feel the ending was a bit rushed?
Cause I certainly did.
But anyways, top class episode and one of my favourite of the season thus far.
GENERAL HAMMOND
