I watched it, but was really disappointed with the editing. They didn't even mention the military coup and the arrest of Laura Roslin at the end of season 1! Um, that was kind of an important plot device. They also failed to mention that Laura rigged the election but backed down. Ah well, it was still interesting to watch because I'm deprived for new BSG stuff. I wouldn't spend money on The Story So Far, though.
Yes, and it's incorrectly labeled as a missing episode called "The Journey Home," I believe. Way to get excited about something not to be excited over.

They didn't talk about those things because the president was telling the story.
But yeah I thought it was odd they they didn't talk about coup and the arrest. She could have said at least a line about it somewhere.

The only thing I can think of is that in the grand scheme of things those events don't really matter to the overall story. To get someone up to speed enough to appreciate what's going to happen in S3 that part COULD be left out. I'm sure they are hoping people will get interested enough to get the dvd's and fill themselves in on the missing parts.

Time is an illusion... Lunchtime, doubly so.
No the coup isn't important at all. It was only lead by the Arrow of Apollo and that was only a stoyline for like 10 episodes between season 1 and 2. But hell that's not important.

I'm not going to download it because of the (new) Near DVD Quality, I don't like it and it take up a lot of my hard drive space (which I don't have a lot of).

Exactly...I have a couple of friends who felt sooo lost with BSG that they weren't even going to watch until I told them about this, now they are willing to try the series.
I believe that this re-cap gives someone enough info to give them the basic gist of whats going on.
There's no way 44 minutes can provide details of two full seasons.

And in the end there was new information in the 44 minute recap given that it was told from Roslin's PoV... I found her narrative on the events of New Caprica really very interesting.
