Re: Stargate SG-1 Cancelled
MGM still want the show to continue so its not all bad news, they just need a channel to air it on.
Here's hoping.
Then again I don't understand why its that important if its shown in another 119 countries around the world?

Re: Stargate SG-1 Cancelled
Wow, that was fast. They aren't even half way through season 10 yet. This seems like a real hot head decision. It's obvious that taking BSG away from the line-up has hurt SG-1. Why should they not give it a chance to bounce back? I think season 10 has been far better then 8 and 9.
I'm sort of in shock at the moment.

Re: Stargate SG-1 Cancelled
Somehow, it's not surprising
http://www.multichannel.com/article/...=Breaking+News
People close to the production of Stargate SG-1 said Sci Fi Channel canceled the series on the eve of its 200th episode, which aired last Friday night, making the show the first cable scripted series to reach such a milestone.
The announcement came in sometime before cast, crew and executives gathered to celebrate the historic airing at a Saturday-evening bash held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the series is shot.
Spinoff series Stargate Atlantis -- which also airs Friday nights on Sci Fi and shares producers and production facilities with the older SG-1 -- was said to be unaffected by the cancellation. Atlantis is currently in its third season.
After a nine-year run -- five years on Showtime and now in its fifth year on NBC Universal’s Sci Fi -- SG-1’s ratings dropped approximately 30% this summer compared with the same time period last year, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Re: Stargate SG-1 Cancelled
I was actually expecting it... I mean with the low rating and not the great quality it isn't really a surprise that it get cancelled. the only wish I have for now is that they make a really good ending and that all the story lines will get a good ending... no loose ends PLEASE!!!

Re: Stargate SG-1 Cancelled
Sci Fi is going to pay, dearly. The SaveSG1 Campaign starts here my friends, we're gonna show Sci Fi and all other channels what they're missing if they cancel SG1 for good.

Re: Stargate SG-1 Cancelled
Well I'm not surprised. TPTB deserve it after coming up with the disaster that was the 200th ep. It's for the best, before it gets worse. I will no longer miss it. I hardly watched S9 but tried to give S10 a chance, but the last ep was just terrible. They tried too hard to impress fans to save the show and it backfired, even sci-fi was unimpressed.
