^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^interchangeable as I don't have very strong feelings one way or the other except that I'm not very fond of them

The Fourth Horseman, Part 2...only this high b/c of the Teal'c/Garek talk

Babylon...kinda wishywashy on this one...it's this high atm b/c I'm feeling generous towards Cam

The Scourge...classic SG-1 standalone feel to it though it has a ways to go to reach actual "classic" status

Collateral Damage...some nice Cam insight & Cam/Sam friendship

Beachhead...only this high because of Vala's sacrifice

Crusade...eh, I like Tomin. This ep introduced him.

Arthur's Mantle...got to see this one again recently so it gets bumped this high

Ripple Effect...my favorite of the season. Fun ep.

Avalon, Part 2...only this high because of the Vala/Daniel scene at the end. One of the most powerful scenes in the series, imo.

The Powers That Be...good Vala character building...got to see a more serious side of her. As a more serious episode, it gets top spot for me.


I'll freely admit season 9 is my least favorite season of Stargate. It has some good ones, some that have some good, redeeming parts, and a lot that I really don't care for.

This list prolly doesn't match my voting all that well. I suppose I should have done this list first maybe. I would really need to watch the season again in order to really give them a better ranking. I'm going off what I remember. Granted I've seen a couple of these recently on tv but many others I haven't seen in a while so I'm fuzzy on the details...like say with Origin...I really can't recall that one very clearly, atm. Granted I have my problems with Vala, I actually liked her being in the early episodes. Most of my problems with the season lie elsewhere and not with her.

Thanks for the tourney though, Stef. It makes me have to reanalyze the eps...or at least the eps I can remember...instead of just tossing the whole season aside as junk. My severe dislike of S9 has diminished somewhat as time goes on.

Yeah, I've realized that the more I look at the season and the more I watch it I come to like episodes more than perhaps I might have originally. I also break down my episodes in kind of chunks:
