No, you're right, I just hated how it looked and where we decided to put them. I liked the concept a lot.

And now that I'm here, let me use this obscure thread I happened upon while waiting for my 18 hours delayed plane to clarify a couple of other things from the q/a:

I am immensely proud of Atlantis.

I like Vala. If I thought there was a role for her character in the third movie, she would be included.

I meant no disrespect when I suggested that fan reaction to such things as cancellation was predictible.

There were many, many factors that went into how we moved forward. Please know that we chose what we thought was the best path considering all of the financial and creative variables, some of which you will never be aware of. It very very easily could have been nothing. No Atlantis, no SGU, no movies.

I meant no disrespect to fans in general, but it was clear from several of the questions that many of you have no respect for me. I thought I was just giving as good as I got. The condensing comment was a joke. Go back and look at the question.

    I probably shouldn't do anymore q/a's.

    Brad Wright

Thank you for taking the time to answer what I can only imagine were one heck of a lot of vitrolic questions regarding your involvement in the franchise. I hope your experience with this Q&A won't put you off doing more in the future because I quite enjoyed your responses.

Mr. Wright. I must say I loved your q/a and I hope you will do one in the near future again. I liked the answers you gave us, they were mysterious but in a good way!
I am very glad you took your time to give us some answers to questions some fans were asking!(some better than others to say it "nicely") Thank you for that!

Can I ask for an autograph now?

EDIT: I also hope to see more of your work soon I love the Stargate universe and can't wait what the future holds for us as Stargate fans.

Thanks from me as well. I haven't enjoyed reading anything so much in a long time. I was still smiling over some of your replies this morning!

(StellaByStargate appreciated you answering the penguin question as well. )

As frustrating as it is overhearing fandom unfortunately as fans we're only going to get a slither of the information needed to pounce on and make wild emotionally overblown accusations with. I'm sure our hair pulling and rending of clothing would be more on the money if got to sit in on these meetings, but alas security kept escorting us of the premises, so eh, what are you going to do?

If you enjoy the Q/A's, do the Q/A's, in fact go wild with them and make up your own questions to answer, start a support group - but probably next time if you're getting questions that are little more than caps of rage and tantrums take the high road and don't answer those ones - it's probably a 16 year old with one finger up their left nostril typing with their foot while they eat a bag of doritos - god bless the internet and all who sails on her. Trying to play their game and engage with them means nobody wins. After all being Management means always having to keep a scary plastered fake smile on your face when dealing with the 'customers', but on the bright side I'm sure you have a lovely car.

Holy crap that's cool. One of the creators of Stargate just dropped by.

Thank you for your clarifications Mr. Wright! And yes, more Q&A's are a must. Some of us rather loved the "giving as good as [you] got" part of it.

Mr. Wright, thank you for taking time out of your very busy time to come here to leave a post.

I am so glad to see that you are proud of Atlantis. And you should very well be proud to have produced a show that has touched so very many people and generated such a strong reaction from fans. You should look at that as a victory. If no one really like SGA, no one would be upset/disappointed with it's move from a weekly TV show to a movie. I am one of those fans.

When you write eps like "The Shrine" it shows how much you care about this show.

It's interesting, I was actually content with 10 Seasons of SG-1, I just felt one more of SGA would of satisfied me. It just feels Season 5 is not the last season. So now i know how the upset SG-1 fans felt. It does not feel good.

There were many, many factors that went into how we moved forward. I felt that, the show had enough to go another season. The show is still pulling in over 2 million viewers which is considered really good for SCI FI. I did not see it going past Season 7 or even Season 6. I was looking for one season to run along with SGU, which I am still going to give it a chance.

I meant no disrespect to fans in general, but it was clear from several of the questions that many of you have no respect for me. I thought I was just giving as good as I got. The condensing comment was a joke. Go back and look at the question.

I think I was the loudest here, and I apologize. It's because I do have a lot of respect for you and the rest of the producers. I just felt the show could of gone further. I just hope there are plans for more than one SGA movie. Well I'll still be supporting both SG-1 and SGA even if it is off as a TV series.

I meant no disrespect to you, but some people on a forum tend to push you overboard. Keep up the good work.

BTW, good job on getting Robert Carlyle. He is excellent.

An eighteen hour delay to a flight? Great googly moogly. We had a four hour delay to a flight back from Ankara last year, and wound up drinking the BA lounge dry. Eighteen hours and we'd have needed liver transplants :O

I very much enjoyed the Answers part of that Q&A, and about 75% of the Questions...

Um, ok. So I'll be the guy who does that thing.

While you're here, delayed, and reading the thread, how about a couple questions?

Is there anyone else from the main cast who won't be in the third movie, assuming that contracts can be worked out? Is there a place for Mitchell in the third movie? Landry? Teal'c?

In the Q & A you jokingly asked for some good ideas for a title. I think you might get a few if you dropped a hint as to the intended storyline.....

Even if you don't respond, I just want you to know that there are a alot of us who are very eager to hear about and eventually see this third movie. I'm kind of an old time lapsed fan from the showtime years, and so far, this movie is sucking me back into the fold. Hope there's many more after this one. Thanks for dropping by.

As Brian said, your love is evident through the episodes you've written. The Shrine was absolutely brilliant and will go down as a favorite episode for me and many others here.

I loved Vala's humor and I'll miss her, but if you think there was no place for her then it's certainly better to not have her than to try to force it in.

I'm beyond delighted that you would take the time to interact with fans. And there were certainly many questions submitted that were harsh and disrespectful. However, there were several questions that were not, questions submitted by fans of the show who genuinely wanted to know your thoughts/opinions about what had happened.

We recognize that fandom is a tiny portion of the viewership and that in the grand scheme of things we don't count for much in regards to ratings and advertising dollars. Your tone seemed dismissive of us. If I misinterpreted your intentions, I apologize.

Thanks for taking the time to post a few thoughts.
