Possible new project & Runoured SG-1 reunion show in 2016.

I've heard and read a lot around the net about a possible re-union for SG-1 in 2016.

However I have also read a lot of negative comments from the old cast of SG-1. That the show today wouldn't work 17 years on. just search for Stargate SG1 2016. (not going to post any of that here) and I think most of it is just hear-say.

All I can say about the comments I've read is new people can be brought in to the show as needed and you can always have the old guest appearance.

I am a game level designer thinking of starting a fan made cgi mini series just like how we've seen YouTube fan made Star trek. I've worked on a non-profit game project for 13 years and to be honest it's not getting anyway anymore. I am getting tired working with game engines and want to try something different.

Doing something relating to Stargate would be a positive move forward.

I am a fan of the old cast from the SG shows and if I was to think about writing scripts for a TV show this for now would be the best way to pan out ideas.

My question is this? if there was to be a new start for SG1 or even a new Title. My pick is Stargate - DSA (Deep Space Agency) how would you start season 1. Well for starters I would combine SG-1, SG-A, and SG-U into a new format starting of 17 years on so we can have the ability to tie up anything from the former shows with New enemies and Allies.

We know Atlantis is on Earth, There is a moon base and for the most part our galaxy is safe from the Ori, the Wraith and Todd is on Earth? I would like to know that happens to him and maybe Asgard in the Pegasus Galaxy find there way to the Milky Way.

The Destiny is still out there in another galaxy with it's crow in deep cryo sleep apart from one.

(Just thinking out loud and I welcome ideas here)

A New Beginning.

We start to see the SGC empty and abandoned, Some lights here and there mostly dark with chairs and tables stacked in the commissary and hallways empty and littered.

The dorms, communal restrooms and shower facilities cleared out, on other levels we see Daniel Jackson's Lab empty and mostly cleared out, Sam's Lab oddly full of boxes.

As we explore more around the base. The medical bay and observation rooms look untouched just no personnel. The briefing room looks pretty much picked over with most of the furniture gone with just the brief room table remaining.

We start to see the gate control room and gate room apart from there being. No Stargate!

Next scene. The pentagon.

Air Force General (need a name) talking about the DSA program and budget reviews with other high brass, leasing the moon base over to NASA. instead of using the moon base for covert training exercises. A robust training program helping prepare newly qualified officers and enlisted personnel for membership of SG teams and manning earths newest Space Craft the X308

The Gate itself was moved to the independent self contained Mars base to retain the Stargate program's secrecy. this is where the best and brightest can end up headed by General (need a name).

It would be nice to show what happens to everyone else from old and Atlantis itself. Atlantis is a space ship and can be used to rescue those aboard the Ancient ship Destiny but I can't see Atlantis even leaving earth not even for a mission of rescue.

Here here!! SG1 and SGA got finalized in an acceptable manner. SGU it got a cliffhanger. So much potential in SGU and it was getting good. If only they will find a network to fund a new series or even a movie for crying out loud.

Here here!!MGM you reap in loads of cash if you go with SGU, Now Season 2 had got the show to a great level. No one wants a reboot, we know about Abydos, doing it again with new actors is pointless. Its like rebooting Harry Potter, you just wouldn't do it.

I hope that will never happen, with them ignoring SG 1, SGA and SGU. I understand that some actors don´t want their fans seeing their characters so old but ignoring the TV series completely seems just wrong. Tapping seems to be still in good shape and for a movie it might get even better and she could have a minor part, RDA apparently heath problems but it would make sense that O´Neill retired and Shanks still looks good, they could have at least minor parts.

I would anyway prefer a book of the last Stargate SG 1 movie that was cancelled.

As far as I'm concerned, it's just a rumor. In the meantime, I'll keep enjoying the Stargate Novels as long as they keep being produced.

Atlantis is too valuable risk taking across the universe. But Destiny is also very valuable too, All they need do is give the repair robot the command to restore the Destiny and over the 3 years it takes to reach the new galaxy Destiny piece by piece, section by section is checked and repaired by the two robots they have. And when the crew wakes up the ship drops out of FTL and recharges and the rush notices how much damage if all has been repaired by the robots.

That's assuming having the repair droids active does not put a monkey wrench into Eli's computations. And they have the spare parts for them to do repairs.

I would really like a movie or a mini series that wraps up SGU since it ended in major cliffhanger. SGA would be nice but it least had a an ending.

sg-1 I feel had a great ending with no lose ends. I would however like if Sam and Daniel had a part in the sgu movie/mini-series. Where they help them get home.

Sam, Daniel and Jack already had major roles in SGU. What about Teal'c or Mitchell.

I would too, but I don't know if it will happen. SGU lost a lot of fans during its first season because of how slow it was. I wasn't and I'm still not a BSG fan...when SGU first started it felt too my like BSA IMHO. But in season 1.5, it started to get better as it went away from the BSG feel. And season 2 was much better.

Anytime a show shifts days/times...that isn't a good thing.

There was some talk on Twitter this week, mainly speculation from Christopher Judge's Twitter account, he's been heavily working out and was hyping up something coming up in 20016/17 I think, but immediately after that he said it "wasn't stargate related". Now that may very well be true, but I don't think he was asked about anything stargate related at the time, so it seemed to some people to be a message that it was going to be something a long those lines. Time will tell.

I won't get my hopes up on it,though. I still think the core cast (RDA,AT,MS,CJ) could all still have more than playable roles, if not cameo's at the least. It wouldn't be an out of the blue thing to even have a cameo for RDA (health permitting), (a la his brief appearance in Universe). And as others have said, Amanda,Michael and Chris are all still in good shape in terms of the roles that they previously had, obviously I doubt they would have as big of a role to play when it would come to the action, I suspect if it was to go ahead, it would be similar to Atlantis where AT/Carter CJ/Teal'c etc, would have more 'leadership' roles, it would be more of a passing of the torch down to a younger SG team (think back the likes of Prodigy S4 or Proving Ground S5). Think it would be similar to that.
