do you think the Tenarans where still using Camile's constitution 2000 years later?

the United States Constitution was written by many people based on the works or many other people
the Tenaran Constitution was written by one person presumably based on only what political philosophy and theory she could remember as they had no book from earth

In truth something like a constitution is easy if one is familiar with what the US uses and you have a hard working populance.

The overall framework of a constitution could survive for untold amounts of time. The real question is how was that framework modified and restructured with amendments.

Is there some problem with that. The constitution is a pretty good document in the grand scheme of things. It wouldn't work if you tried to implement in some country full of nutcase, indigents, or uncivilized but for an up and coming civilization without a lot of human refuse it would be a good start.

I doubt Camille's constitution have lasted 2000 years. Nations built on rigid codes tend to either find a way to change with the times, or else just fall apart.

America's constitution will last that long. Seriously, what major changes are needed? It is true without "strong states" and "states rights" we may have lost it and I suppose without "states" Novus might have some problems.

It hasn't. There have been loads of amendments already, it didn't last 10 years without being changed.

I dunno. It's impossible to predict the future.

It was designed to have changes.

any constitution that holds for an extended period of time, in my opinion, fails.

people chance. circumstances change. the law has to change accordingly and sometimes the constitution has to change along with it.

                        Then it's not rigid.
