This is not a shipper thread...sorry to burst your bubble. But it may be a thread that shipper will enjoy.

My question is... how did the J/S relationship develop?

When did Jack start to respect Sam as a military woman?
When did Jack start to respect her as a useful tool?..oh god, I just realised what that sounds like, I'll leave it in anyway, I mean as a scientist.
When did Sam start to respect Jack as a competant military commander?
When did Sam start to respect him as a man?
When did their friendship start?
What was the first indication that there was a friendship
When did Jack first fancy her?
When did Sam first fancy him?
What was the first indication that they fancied each other?
When did Jack first start to dream about her?
When did Sam first start to dream about him?
When did Jack A) fall and B) realise that he was in love with her?
When did Sam A) fall and B) realise that she was in love with him?
What was the first indication of love?
What was the first proclamation of love? I know we never got one, but we got loads of little ones.

Most of it is guess work. But I'd love to here your opinions

Ok. So maybe it is a shipper thread. :p

My question is... how did the J/S relationship develop?
Over time - after they respected each other, trust came soon after, and then friendship, and the first inklings of curiosity.

When did Jack start to respect Sam as a military woman?
Most likely after the pilot - she fared pretty well for a "scientist."

When did Jack start to respect her as a useful tool?
Singularity. She tends to be the one to do the field medical stuff.

When did Sam start to respect Jack as a competant military commander?
By the end of the pilot.

When did Sam start to respect him as a man?
The Broca Divide - or maybe a bit before.

When did their friendship start?
Fire and Water, to some extent, but I think a solid friendship actually developed later within the first season.

What was the first indication that there was a friendship?
Well, when it was strict, "hey we're friends," it would be during Fire and Water, because it took a long time for either to be comfortable enough with each other to hug.

When did Jack first fancy her?
Emancipation/The Broca Divide.

When did Sam first fancy him?
The Broca Divide. Sorry, I know I'm repeating myself.

What was the first indication that they fancied each other?
Uh... the first CANON indication or the first IMPLIED indication? Because the discrepany between the two are seasons apart. One happened in Season Four, and the other came from the pilot.

When did Jack first start to dream about her?
Uh... I don't wanna know. Maybe after The Broca Divide.

When did Sam first start to dream about him?
A Hundred Days - before and after.

When did Jack A) fall and B) realise that he was in love with her?
A) It's tough to say. He's not very open with his feelings - even with himself. It could have been as early as season one or as late as Poing of View.
B) Upgrades.

When did Sam A) fall and B) realise that she was in love with him?
A) Also tough to say. Sam's almost as stubborn as Jack is when it comes to feelings.
B) Not A Hundred Days, I don't think, but perhaps in the latter half of season three.

What was the first indication of love?
They really became intuned to each other's body language, moreso than you have to be when in the military, it seemed.

What was the first proclamation of love?
Divide and Conquer.

Ok. So maybe it is a shipper thread. :p

Oh yeah. ;)
