Microsoft is shopping around a tv series set in the fairly deep halo universe and it could be good and i guess syfy is not trying really hard to get it? itis called a "drama"i have played all the game and have to say i enjoy the game story it reminds me of stargate sometimes sorta.

Wow the halo crowd used to be one of the big viewers of that channel.. it could have been a hit for them i know i would have not missed an episode if it was good and like the halo games.

WHO runs syfy what are they thinking?microsoft is whilling to throw its money at these halo movies and film for them the only reason the movie was not made because the gamemakers said no it was not up to the high standards for them and it looked pretty good.

Microsoft could buy Syfy with it's spare change from the couch, and you want to blame them??

We don't know what the deal is yet, I don't see the point of Microsoft funding this when it appearing on Showtime first. I suspect Xbox will get first airing, which makes this less valuable to networks.

An we also don't know how much money the network was require to put in or whether syfy was beaten to the punch in a bidding war.

microsoft does not wok like normal corporations (for insight into that I recommend this blog http://www.alexstjohn.com/WP/) or tv people

they are funding to sell software and hardware and i do not think they care if they make money off it.

they are trying to brute force their way into being a video content maker company just like they brute force their way into consoles with xbox by losing millions/billions of money on it for about 10 years same with just about everything else they do.

they want to sell more xbox consoles and the halo games/toys/whatever in the end. putting it on tc is just one huge tv ad that happens to be fun to watch...

but ya sydy should have went after it microsoft would pour money into the production even if syfy did not and they would almost give it away.

either way i dont get showtime so thanks syfy you used to be cool. halo foward onto dawn was pretty good show i expect it would be like that. would get people watching on the halo brand alone
