25 Greatest Sci-Fi Legends of All Time - 8+ years later

Today I came across this list of 25 Greatest Sci-Fi Legends of All Time composed by TV Guide in 2004. It can be found here:

1 - Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone)
    2 - Star Trek crews
3 - Uncle Martin (My Favorite Martian)
    4 - George Jetson
    5 - Diana (from V)
6 - David Vincent (The Invaders)
    7 - Fox Mulder (The X-Files)
    8 - Alf
    9 - Captain John Sheridan (Babylon5)
    10 - Jack O'Neill
    11- Duncan MacLeod (Highlander)
12 - Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap)
    13 - MST3K crew (Mystery Science Theater 3000)
14 - Robot (Lost in Space)
15 - The Coneheads (Saturday Night Live)
    16 - Allie Keys (Taken)
17 - Max Guevara (Dark Angel)
18 - Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds (Firefly)
19 - Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers (The Bionic Man and Woman)
    20 - John Crichton ( Farscape)
21 - Starbuck (Battlestar Galactica - the original)
    22 - Doctor Who
    23 - Ultraman
24 - Dick Solomon (3rd Rock from The Sun)
    25 - Captain Video

Somehow I don't think that now, over 8 years later, this list would remain the same. To be more precise, IMO vast majority of names wouldn't, or at least shouldn't, appear on it anymore. At the same time these past 8 years gave us some of the best sci-fi characters ever. So I was wondering what you guys think about TV Guide's choices and what would be your Top 25?

I can't think of 25 names. But I'd put Jack O'Neill at the top of the list.

And since most of the names on the list are guys, I'd add Samantha Carter to the list, too.
