Yes this is decidedly off topic.
I have just had my shoulder length, fine hair cut off into a short pixie cut, so I was wondering what everyone elses hair was like.
p.s I would post a photo but my digital camera is throwing a hissy fit.

Mine is in desperate need of trimming. Long hair is fine on other people (other women, anyway, I have "issues" with long-haired men!), but for me, I'm very lazy and like hair that is wash-n-go. Long hair isn't conducive to that 'cause it takes too long to dry and gets all tangly.
Short & sweet all the way! :D

Mine is boring and frustrating as heck. It's very thick and with just enough curl to it that it tends to poof if I don't dry it out but not enough curl to do anything with. I tend to keep it fairly long because the weight of it helps with the poof factor but I mostly just throw it up in a ponytail because I have a toddler so spending more than 5 minutes in front of a mirror is but a distant memory.

http://www.alexandra-velten.net/pix/passfotosandy2003.jpg This is me about half a year ago, hair's a lot longer now, and it really bugs me. Maybe I should go back to my shaggy geeky Daniel-of-the-first-two-seasons haircut....minus the blue streaks I still had in that photo :D

Miune is "shaggy geeky Daniel-of-the-first-two-seasons." I usually wear it short like Jacks, but I just haven't got it cut for some reason, I will soon though, because it is bothering me.

Usually I spike mine (I'm a tomboy :o ) but I haven't had a haircut in months so it's starting to look pretty shabby... and then of course it gets all wavy when it reaches a certain length so I've got these little flippy things that pop up all the time. at this point I've just been doing the whole backwards baseball cap routine to avoid the hassle.

I don't like my hair, I don't think I ever have. Whatever I do with it, it'll sometimes look half-presentable for a while, then it'll go back to looking bad. Bring on the baldness I say, at least then I won't have to care anymore...

It used to be fine with a slight kink at the ends, but now I've had it cut it's dead straight and alot thicker. I've also dyed it a dark red. It looks alot like Carter's hair in season 5 and 6, but more spiky and scruffy.
I really like it, theres no fuss to it at all and even if you wake up with it sticking up in a 360 degree radius it looks GOOD :D. Before I used to spend so much time on putting my hair up or brushing it, it's nice to not bother (being the lazy student slob that I am!)

My hair is a bit like S6 Sam,normally, but dark brown with tons of grey.
I'd like to grow my hair a bit longer, just for a bloomin' change, but once my hair grows longer than about 2",it looks like I've been using that famous shampoo: "Wash and Go Berserk"!! :D

My hair is more like Teal'c's or Hammond's. Yep. Hairless. I've been thinking of letting it grow out a little. Maybe braid it.

That bright burning thing in the sky? Can't stand it. I prefer the much more benign moon.

SUN??? You kidding me? The stupid thing that burns my porcelain skin??? Ra and stuff? No, honest...that is a really bad scan of a really bad photomat box photo...they always look unhealthy. I do get outside sometimes, and I keep surviving Egypt annually, I don't burn to a little ash heap or something. It's just the evil photomat thingie...

My hair is long, brown and grey, with a patch of white in the middle of the fringe. When it gets too long I brush it back and it makes me look like a badger! It's too long now, so a shave off for summer is called for.

Short cut for summer, dark, curly, and takes me an hour to do it in the morning. I like it, it's cute, but it takes some upkeep and I am seriously considering doing the dreadlock thing this fall.

Mine is long and straight and brown.
Last time I had it cut, I asked for shoulder lenth. The hairdresser cut. I asked for a little more off, to make it nearer shoulder length. She cut. I asked for another four inches. She cut. I asked for another four inches off. She cut.
I ended up with hair that was probably three inches too long to be called shoulder length. But I was getting bored, so I gave up. I reckon she confused shoulder for elbow and inches for centimetres.

Mine's shoulder length (not elbow LOL) straightish and brown with a bit of a red highlight to it. Layered a bit and I like to use the straighteners but its also fine and soft so I can't do much else with it.
In the past i've dyed it auburn/red lots of times, black once (didn't suit me), tried purple streaks (dye didn't work) and had two blonde streaks at the front a la Rogue from X-Men.
And since I was such a huge fan of the New Avengers at the time, I had a Purdey hair cut when I was 5 or 6.
Has anyone else tried to have their hair cut like a celeb with hilarious consequences?

I tried the "Rachel-do" from Friends. It actually turned out rather well but everyone and their mother had that hair cut. What can I say? I was like 15 or 16 and wanted desperately to be trendy.

My hair is dark brown, with red through it, it comes down just past my shoulders. Last summer it was down to my waist, but my hair was to thick so i just got it all cut off. :)

I cut mine off, so the pic I posted is quite moot....mine are now barely chin-length, looking pretty geeky when I wear my Harry Potter glasses and tuck the hair behind the ears...but then I AM geeky. :D Geeks are cool.

I tried the "Rachel-do" from Friends.
I still have a variation of the "Rachel".. still have long layers and framed slightly towards my face.. it is long, about to the middle of my back, and dark brown with some fading blonde highlights that I really need to get touched up before I meet Michael Shanks in August!

Ha, ha.. I will talk to him about WHATEVER I CAN!! Haircuts, world peace, bearing his children... Seriously though, I am going to the Stargate convention in Chicago in August. The gold weekend pass holders get to go to a cocktail party and a happy hour with him. I am hoping I get the chance to talk to him there.. if not, I definitely will get to meet him in the autograph line! I hope I don't like pee my pants or something when I see him! Wow, would that ever be embarassing... BUT on the other hand, I bet that would make him remember me AND give us something to talk about! Ha ha ha.. I have totally lost my mind..
