Definitely a solid character episode

Definitely very solid - on the slow side for sure but there was so many fantastic character moments and i did a good deal of laughing which was nice. The 2001 "Theme" so to speak prior to the surgery was the highlight (for me). A nice upswing from last weeks episode, at least in my own opinion. Next weeks looks to be a more action oriented affair. Certainly looking forward to it!!

Very solid episode, makes me more mad that they haven't released a soundtrack yet.

I gave it a 8, but maybe I should of gave it a 9 because of how much I was geeking out with the Amanda Perry and Ginn stuff at the end.

Humor = 10
Episode = 3
I thought it was a weak episode and full of pettiness. The writers had ample opportunity to make the character moments more substantive, but in imho they wasted it on trivial dialogue, obvious plot convenience, and some Scott/Chloe/Eli/Ginn puppy love that is really starting to get hard to watch.
It was nice to see Rush and Eli playing chess together. And I thought the Volker/Brody humor was great. I especially loved Volker's increasing irritation with Brody over "Also Spake Zarathustra" and how he snapped when Brody called it a "song." I also enjoyed the casual manner in how Volker was helping with the research of his own surgery. And the erectile dysfunction joke was so good, executed very naturally. The slap-happy giggles of Brody, TJ, and Park got me cracking up too.
I love the Greer stuff usually, but I'm starting to wonder if all this extra emphasis on his "invulnerability" is leading to a major change in his character. It's like he has Jesus syndrome all of a sudden. He was given the "mystical" treatment this episode, as if he's tapped into some higher plane of acceptance. Perhaps Wray's comments really did have an impact on him.
If Perry is part of the ship now, then she and Rush can really start to "get busy." Looking forward to their development as a duo.
This was one of those filler "character" episodes that gets made because the show is conserving production budgets -- which is fine -- but in this case wasn't that compelling to watch.
The only thing I thought was good were the instances of humor. The rest was flat and uninspired.
VERY excited for next week!!!

A solid 8 from me because I thought they overdid the humour.

Nine from me, because it was quite slow, but powerful in character development department nevertheless. They have grown in both writing and shooting char drama eps, so it is disappointing that it all will gonna to waste.
These series *must* have some closure. Movie or two would be nice not just because we want it, but because it is not just entertainment for me. These characters have grown on me (damn you, serialized content :)) and I just love them more because they are flawed, imperfect human beings - just like you and me.

I gave it a 7, mostly for the Volker/Greer/TJ side of the story. I loved Volker, Brody and Park in this ep, and TJ and Greer were awesome as always. The ED comment had me laughing the same as the characters were laughing; and the thing with Brody and the music player was great. If if wasn't for that side of the story I would have given the episode a way lower score.
I really didn't like the Chloe/Ginn/Amanda part. It was disappointing, I hate it when they find some way to keep dead characters around (outside of dreams/hallucinations). I hate it when characters die, but I hate it even more when they are brought back. Even though Ginn and Amanda are only computer programs inside Destiny for now, they still have the potential to get bodies, and not to mention all the "ghost(god) in the machine" stuff. (I know they already had Franklin, but he was almost a nobody(sorry but he was to me) on the ship; having the girlfriends of the two main scientist characters stuck in the ship's computer somehow makes it worse for me) I think bringing characters back after they've died cheapens the emotional impact of their deaths. I thought Malice was awesome; it was actually one of my favorite episodes of SGU, but Hope makes me like that episode less, and the whole thing with Simeon feels almost pointless to me now.
I loved pretty much all of the first half of the season(and 1.5 before that), and I loved Twin Destinies and liked Alliances a lot; but Hope and Deliverance really left me with the feeling of trying to undo things that happened in 2.0(even moreso than the other 2 eps) and I don't really like it. Thats just my opinion and I can't help the way I feel, maybe I'll like it more on a rewatch or maybe something esle will happen by the end of the series that will make me like this episode better; for now, I'm really looking forward to next week's episode. :)

I'll think twice before rating this time. Last week regretted my valuation.
So a 9. :)

Greer was awesome.
The surgery thing was a bit over the top for me. TJ suddenly able to take out a kidney? Bit of a stretch.
Loved the banter, broke the tension.
Gin and Amanda? Not sure about that one either.

8/10
I enjoyed the ep much more than last week's....particularly for Volker's side of the plot and overlooking that I seriously don't think TJ could actually perform that kind of surgery but whatever. The humor and the character stuff was great for all those characters involved in that plot line. The other plot line was okay with some good parts and character bits.

I'm surprised at how much I ended up liking this episode - 9/10. Loved the humor, Volker was great, and the scene in the "backyard" was really sort of sweet. I'm not sure about having Ginn and Amanda floating around the ship, but we will see how that works out.

See, THIS is what I'm talking about. They should have worked it so this episode would have aired in the first season, or at least the beginning of the second. We shouldn't have had to wait this long for this kind of exploration into the stones and Destiny's chair.
I bet there are 6 or 7 other episodes that aired before this that they could have just deleted and scored better ratings, if they got to this episode sooner.

9 from me.
The part about Volker, Greer and TJ was simply awesome. It had some of the best character moments in the *franchise*.
The part about Chloe/Ginn/Mandy trio was less successful. Honestly, I'm not sure yet how I feel about it. I guess I'll wait and see how will it play out. I liked Eli, Rush and Young's reaction to the situation but Scott kinda got on my nerves (just when I was starting to like him!) so the ep loses at least 0,5 points just because of him.
All in all, one of the best episodes so far IMO.

I gave this episode a 9 out of 10.
If Syfy had canceled SGU after episode 9 of season 1, I would not have cared too much. I would have relegated SGU to the same place as Infinity and not thought about it again. From Space to now, the series has gotten better and better, and I am incredibly saddened that it will end with no natural conclusion.
That said, I loved the humor in this episode, and I am glad to see Ginn and Amanda back. I see that some people are discussing using the Asgard database to create clones for Ginn and Amanda, but during the episode, I was wondering whether it would be possible to get Thor's imprint and load it into Destiny's computer. I know SGU is not trying to use too much from SG-1, but I do miss the Asgard.
I also liked the live chat during the episode. I read them the comments during the commercials and usually by the time I have caught up, the show is back on.

So a 10/10.
So emotional. Why Dale in pain??
Was on the verge of tears when Brody had his problems with the radio lol. Loved how Ron took Dale to the Hyponicsbay to make him feel like he was back in his backyard.

10. Favorite scene was Greer and Volker in the garden. Perry showing up to help TJ is what kicked it up to a 10. With all the spoilers I got, I didn't see that coming and it finally answer the question of what happened to the people Rush was seeing in his head. Best episode of the season for me because I love it when things come together.

For surprise reappearance of Ginn and Amanda Perry. Not such a surprise where they ended up though, saw that coming a mile off!
The Volker and Greer moment stole the show, the powerful impact of a simple act of honest concern for a fellow human being, two people you would never imagine sharing that moment in the garden.
Starrrgate humour, always gets me yo-ho-ho!ing, Dale's expression was a picture during 'that' discussion! The music...again Dale's pained expression, not from his illness either!!! Just so surreal, hilarious.
Have to give it a 9 for the wonderful jumps from the sublime to the ridiculous! Haven't seen it executed so well since the SG-1 days of 'Window of Opportunity'. :)

3 for me. Boring as bat droppings. Reminded me of the terrible offerings from the first half of Season 1 that caused the show to get canned. The rest of 2.5 has been great though.

This.

Other than Twin Destinies, easily the best episode of the show, largely because of the focus on the second string characters. Emotionally real, humorous performances from all of the IT squad. Drama without having it forced on us with sad, emo overdub. Wonder at life and a stiff upper lip from a guy who's looking death in the face. Even subtle black comedy! (2001 as operating theme is best single moment this show's made). Swear, other than Carlyle, all the people with acting chops are stuck fixing pipes on this ship. Could we just have the rest of the show be second stringers? They're all so understated and awesome.

It's too much a transplant story, 7/10. But the setting and the events around this guideline of the story, confirm to me the impression that if they would have made more episodes like the ones of the second half of the season two (and several also of the first half of this season), there would have been a third season.
