CW planning new 'Smallville' replacement
The CW is planning to launch a new DC Comics series based on the character Raven, reports say.
According to Newsarama, the network is looking for a new superhero series to replace Smallville, which concludes early next year following its tenth and final season.
Diego Guitirrez, known for his work on programmes such as V and Without a Trace, has been tasked with both writing and directing the potential series.
The character first appeared in the '80s as a member of young superhero team the Teen Titans but rose in popularity after becoming the lead in the 2003 Teen Titans animated show.
