It may be a series from the late 60s or early 70s. As I recall it involved some sort of alien attacks on earth and possibly alien infiltration of earth. There was some top secret group working against the aliens. I think it was set in the futuristic 1980s.! As I recall, many of the episodes were akin to a drug trip.

UFO was a great show for it's day (1970-71). X-COM: UFO Defense and it's sequels were based largely on this TV Show about an organization set up (it's main headquarters was near London, it was a British TV show after all) to combat alien incursions and find out as much as they could of the threat and put an end to it.

Good acting, decent effects for the time and great costumes, especially for the women stationed at the Moonbase.
