Just in case:
Oh man I gasped when I saw her shot and with her eyes literally glazed on the floor of the ship in this episode.
So will she live or die that is the question and if she does how will they get by without any kind of medical officer?

She is just unconscious. Thier is no way they would kill off TJ

I'm thinking it's just the baby that's lost. I *highly* doubt they would kill TJ...

I agree. It makes more sense that TJ loses the baby. With some many injuries I would assume that when it all settles down that someone from the SGC will use the stones to play doctor.
Bald headed guy is almost as bad as Kiva.
Anyone notice that Varro said the same thing to TJ that Telford said to Young & O'Neall about Destiny not belonging to us? Varro Brainwashed?
I think it is safe to say that Kiva will not survive her injuries but what about Telford?

The abdomen is one of the worst place to have a gunshot wound. It can cause a lot of damange

Yeah, That's right. It almost looked as if he was shot closer to his side. So why didn't Varro take command? I know Kiva called him a Lt but it appeared to me that the bald guy was more of a body guard for Kiva.

Then they better kill Young. If they don't, when he find out what happened he will go ballistic. I know I would kill every one of them if they harmed my baby.

Maybe Varro and the bald guy will have a show down for control once Varro finds out what the other guy is doing. :)

It's likely a standard LA line that Kiva probably says to her people quite a bit, so it's not surprising that Varro happens to repeat it.

Yep. That's the only way TJ could possibly survive with a wound like that.

Yeah, stomach acid leaking out into your abdomen feels great, don't it? ;)
But seriously, I don't think Telford has nearly as much of a chance of making it as TJ. He's expendable, TJ isn't.

If Young finds out, he will find a way to access Destiny's nav systems, he will set a course for the Milky Way, and he will wipe the Lucian Alliance out.

That would make sense. Varro seems to be more reasonable and appears to be keeping up appearances rather than really being hard core or brainwashed. I sure liked his character as a runner trying to save the little girl in SGA.

Yeah Young may look all calm at the end but once someone mentions TJ's been shot and the baby's dead he's going to headbutt to death every single Lucian Alliance person onboard.
The title Intervention for the next episode is reffering to the crew trying to stop Young from killing everyone.

He was shot in the side, not the stomach.

The "only medically trained person"? What about Sgt. Greer? He's a trained medic.... ;)

TJ wasn't shot. That is someone else's blood that splattered on her. She fainted due to all the commotion in the room. She lives, but the baby will be stillborn - likely due to malnutrition :(

It is a longstanding Stargate tradition: when someone from the core cast must die, it is usually the medic-in-chief. I don't see why TJ should be given special treatment.
Just kidding. My inner voice tells me she will make it.

I pretty much agree that TJ will survive (it seems obvious, since this is television, and the internet) but she may lose her baby. Which will potentially be a catalyst for some SERIOUS drama on the show for the next couple episodes at least.
I honestly couldn't see them doing something like this in SG-1 or SGA, but the moment the pregnancy was revealed on SGU, I was already thinking that the best thing to do (as awful as that sounds) would be to compromise the pregnancy. Not only does it generate a lot of dramatic storytelling for the surviving characters, but it keeps the status quo up to a more manageable shape. TJ dealing with a baby on Destiny just would be so complicated, and would hinder her in so many ways.
It's tragic, but for the purposes of a TV story, it's probably easier if they go this route.

I agree that TJ probably isn't dead, the baby definitely is though. But hey season 2 of SGU is going to treat us to something we've never seen on Stargate before. Some poor bugger will have to operate on TJ to remove a mangled foetus from her belly. Whose looking foward to that? :P

Then why did that LA guy feel his neck and walk off if he could have been saved. REMEMBER he said someone got in and shot our 2 people... So to him telford was still one of theirs. IF he was alive don't you think the guy would have taken him as well as Kiva to the doc?

3 for 3? While i cna see your point, i don't think they would kill her off just yet.'

nah SGU won't set the medic killing record. which is currently held by SGA.

The LA guy felt Telford's neck to see if there was a pulse. The LA don't care about Telford, which is why the guy left him lying on the floor. They cared about Kiva, which is why somebody carried her to the infirmary, but Telford was likely just dragged in there and left on the floor, since we see him on the floor there before the shooting started.
And I totally believe TJ will survive. :)

I really don't see that being a successful ruse. Seriously. "Do these look like the eyes of a healer, or a soulless killing machine who his a 9mm in the medical supplies?"

Besides, I think Young introduced him as "Ronald Greer" when he and Greer met Kiva in the corridor. She knows who all is aboard; I think she said last week that she had a list of everyone aboard Destiny, so she'd know Greer wasn't a medic. :)

no she is dead and the other dozen of people we saw at gun point ....its because the beginning of the 2nd season will start off with another world they blow up to get to destiny... :D
i do hope tho that they don't kill the baby...it would be a big boost for the crew if the baby is fine..(even if she has to have it early due to the shot :'/ )
