I thought the intro recap bridged together all the most-soapy scenes of the show so far... bad choice on the part of the writers/director, if you ask me. Made me cringe a bit when they're all thrown together.

The SGC didn't know where they were going, they had no idea the 9th chevron went to a ship, much less one so far from home that had no ability to dial back. The Alliance are fully briefed, they know all this and yet they are still prepared to strand themselves there. Just seems weird to me.

Do you really believe that? Do you really believe that the Atlantis database would mention the nineth chevron but not what it was for, considering that the gate seeding project was the apex of the Ancient's knowledge and power in this plane of existence? To me, when Eli asked "Do you know what's the purpose of the 9th chevron?" and Telford answered "No idea at all", Telford was lying. He, O'Neill, SGC, Homeworld security and anyone at the head of Icarus project surely knew about Destiny.

All they didn't know was that these "wrong people" would get stranded there due to the LA attack, but they surely had plans set in motion to send a group especially prepared to be away from as home as long as it took or even forever, just like the Atlantis expedition.

One of the reasons I hate watching live instead of on disk, waiting! Two weeks, really. Darn you Syfy! Wow, what an episode. I LOVED they brought Jack to the Destiny, that was great. This was a great episode tonight. Stargate has always known how to do season finales and I'm sure they won't disappoint.
