Y is it that when u look at sum1 dial a gate using DHD, the wormhole opens as soon as they press button?

But if u r looking at side being diald, there is a 10 second perion where the gate is spinning as the chevrons are lighting up

Shouldnt there b a delay on the dialing side after 6 chevrons r entered and before the 7 cheveron engages and the gate opens?

Maybe the wormhole opens at that gate then travels down its path to te next gate which causes the delay.

DHD dials more directly than Earth's dialing computer. That's all there is to a difference.

On the destination side, you'll always see all the chevrons light up and engage at the same time, followed almost immediately by wormhole formation.

What you see as the "wormhole" is just an interface to assemble and disassembly mater (event horizon) the wormhole itself is not there per se, when one side's EH horizon open and the object enter it its is send to the receiving gate buffer by wormhole, then it's EH opens and the object is fully reassembled. Of course there is no need to an abject to enter and be sent for the receiving gate to also open.

Because usually after you press the sixth symbol on the DHD it sends a signal to the receiving gate which gives the inner track time to spin around once with all the chevrons activated before the wormhole establishes a stable connection

Or just sends a signal through time and the signal reaches tha other end before the dialing side is finished and need time to stabilize for it to send you to the correct period( the time difference is no more than 5 seconds)

the dialling gate sends a signal to the receiving gate and waits for a reply before establishing the wormhole.
which could be why earths gate always takes longer to open, as our computer systems are slower at replying than a DHD is.

The gate activates after you push the BRB (big red button) doesn't it?
