Eeek! I forgot all about this -- the Gemini Awards were held LAST weekend in Canada -- and Stargate didn't win -- of course, we were only nominated in two categories, for three awards:


Best Photography in a Dramatic Program or Series

-- Peter Woeste - Stargate SG-1 = Nightwalkers


Best Visual Effects

-- James Tichenor, Michelle Comens, Adam de Bosch Kemper, Craig Van Den Biggelaar -- Stargate SG-1 - Redemption - Part Two

-- James Tichenor, Michelle Comens, Matt Martell, Bruce Woloshyn -- Stargate SG-1 - Descent

And even those affiliated with SG1 lost!

Best Writing in a Children's or Youth Program or Series

-- Robert C Cooper - The Impossible Elephant (This is a 2001 movie that was also directed by Martin Wood)


Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series

-- Hrothgar Matthews - Human Cargo (Hrothgar guest starred in "Prodigy")

Canada is only on season six?

Yes, for the 2004 Gemini's, only season six had been seen in Canada.

Season Seven just began, with Season Eight planned for next year, and a marathon of Season Six planned for a Christmas Day marathon on the Space Channel.

That's rather sad. It's also sad that season 6 didn't win anything, I thought it was pretty good. I did hate Jonus going "From Dr. Jackson's records..." every episode, but still a good season.

If it couldn't win anything during season 6, there is slimmer chance it will win in season 7. Only thing good about it was Lost City, but that should win something.
