This is an idea I've been toying with for a while, what we're gonna do is tackle these questions one at a time; you all will pm your responses to me, and I'll post the responses exactly one week later. After that, each response will be awarded five points and we will proceed to hurt and heal them as necessary. Once the winner has been declared, we'll move on to the next question, and so on, and so forth...

The next topic up for nominations is "Worst Overall Episode," I'd like the nominations to be in by the 16th if possible.

I think this is an awesome idea. Perhaps people are intimidated by the sheer scope. You could try dividing it into catagories and having open nominations for each catagory seperately, each for a week maybe, and then put the results together for voting when all the catagories are done. People will have an easier time coming up with nominations for, say, five or six topics at a time, than for the whole list.

Oh, wait, I misread it... You're doing it one at a time... Okay, I might not be the only person that missed that. Maybe put that at the top of the post, instead of at the end, and underline the one that is currently in play?

I agree with amconway in the above post. I also missed that you were doing them one at a time.

Perhaps it would help if you posted the general idea of the awards, but then just show the current category, eg. 'Best Jack Episode', with a time and date for the end of that vote?

You should probably make it more prominent that you want the nominations PM'd to you rather than posted here, as well. People won't be expecting that, although I think it's a good idea. Otherwise this may turn into debate rather than a nominating process.

That looks better, in terms of avoiding confusion. Just out of curiosity, why not have a straight-ahead vote for each catagory, allowing only one vote per person in a poll. That would be much simpler.

Not really, it's next to impossible to get good results from a poll that spans more 200 episodes. I've been using the hurt and heal format in my "Batman: The Animated Series awards" thread for some time now, and so far it's been working pretty good.

Do you really think you'll get that many differing nominations per catagory. I'm not disagreeing with you, it's just that, using this catagory as an example, I don't see you getting more than one, maybe two episodes per season, probably less. That's doable. I guess you won't really know about that until you see what happens, though.
