Nice! But predictable imo. You have Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Danny Elfman (music). I've been waiting for this film ever since they announced they wanted to do it. This is going to be huge!

I really don't care for Tim Burton anymore. Kind of a shame, some of the early stuff he's did is just fantastic (Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, to a lesser extent Nightmare Before Christmas & Batman Returns). After those four films and up till about 2001, I found myself in the "oh joy, another Tim Burton gimmick film " mindset.

And then came Planet of the Apes, that unforgivable desecration of a monumental film. After seeing that, I began to refuse to see anything TB had done, regardless of whether it was his good early stuff or not. The first time I relented was when a girl I was seeing wanted to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

About all that film did for me was transform my moderate liking of the old Gene Wilder film into rabid adoration. I thought Planet of the Apes was unforgivable....until I saw TB's Chocolate Factory.



Regarding Alice in Wonderland, I'll pass on this one and hope that Marilyn Manson's version gets finished some day.

Five new stills from 'Alice In Wonderland'

As its March 5 release edges ever closer, Disney is ramping up for Alice In Wonderland by unveiling five new pictures from Tim Burton's fantasy film. Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and newcomer Mia Wasikowska are among the cast for the movie, which will play in IMAX and conventional theatres.
