A Wrinkle in Time

Did anyone watch A Wrinkle in Time on Monday? It had Katie Stuart who played the 1st Cassandra in it, from Singularity and In the Line of Duty.

oh man...book to movie...it didn't sit right with me. if you were expecting something really similar to the book...well disappointment reigns. but as a movie itself, it was fine. for instance, l'engle emphasized calvin's red hair throughout the whole book, and as cute as gregory smith is i would have rather had someone who looked more like the description. you know...tall, red headed, with blue eyes. also...he's supposed to be wearing hand me down shabby clothing...didn't happen. the character of meg wasn't exactly made into a misfit...i don't know what she was made into...but that's not what i imagined her to be. charles wallace was just...no. they almost made him out to be crazy...um missed the point? plus the characters of who, which and whatsit just weren't at all what i expected. :rolleyes: bah...

I need to reread the book. I've completely forgotten it, but I still had the feeling that they left massive amounts of things out. I liked Katie. She/Meg reminded me of my niece. But the others... bleh.

I watched it and I thought she did an awesome job in it. I haven't seen her in much. I also didn't read the book so I couldn't compare it to the book. To me it was a cool movie. The little boy was really good and I have always thought Gregory Smith with hot and a good actor.

I watched it for our little Cassie....she did a great job and I think she is a very talented actress and love watching her, although I thought the movie itself was ok (plot wise...I almost never like a book turned movie)
