Bond girl and new Doctor get cloned
Casino Royale's Eva Green and Doctor-to-be Matt Smith are to star in Womb, a futuristic drama about cloning.
Green will play a grieving widow who decides to clone her late husband, played by Smith. Womb has been described by Michael Weber, managing director of The Match Factory who are handling international sales, as "one of the most touching and impressive love stories we have read in recent times."
Womb is a co-production between Berlin based Razor Film and Inforg Studio in Budapest, and will be directed by Golden Leopard winner Benedek Fliegauf in his first English-language movie. The film starts production in March on the North Sea coast, with Smith expected to move straight on from there to work on series five of Doctor Who.
