now in all the series we have seen fighting with ships and small sg teams agianst hordes of enemies and we have seen the enemies employ a few special weapons to the mix like the jaffa mounted cannon now what id like to see is fighting with infantry like a full marine company agianst an enemy and also the use of vehicles since stargates are quite large and can fit a ship like a puddle jumper why havent the human forces with all our military might not used bigger army forces when attacking a planet by stargate heres an example wraith hold seige over a large city and you want to retake it what do you think a wraith or even a guoulds response would be if they saw an a1 abrams main battle tank come rumbling out of a stargate or even a apc like a bradly or styker
most of the aliens we have fought have seen our basic infantry soldiers and fought our air units like 302s and space ships like deadalous but id like to see their response when fighting a full mechanized army such as tanks apcs attack helicopters and with the connection to earth the atlantis expedition could gather the materials or the deadalous doing supply runs could deliver things like tanks and other fighting vehicles or with the advanced ancient technologies build better armored fighting vehicles.

A tank would get killed by Darts / gliders but small fast vehicules like striker would be leathal provided they had some sort of AA wepon

But realy if you stuck a big gun on the bottom of PJ it could do everyting armour does

a buggy with ceramic polymer, electric engine, proper powersource, and a big machinegun/rapidfire plasma gun would do alot

most of the aliens in the stargate series has fought us with air units or infantry and the same is done with the sg teams but just think of what the aliens reaction would be to see humans empoly land attack vehicles cause in the series no alien race is known to posses things like tanks or apcs other then us humans but just think of hundreds of wraith on a planet waiting for an sg team to come threw a stargate and to their suprise get a large abrams main battle tank rumbling out of the stargate or an apc im sure they would be like WTF IS THAT RUN!!!! LOL

nah the tanks like the abrams have armor to withstand attacks they can take a hit from more then 1 anti tank missile from an aircraft second most mbts like the abrams and even the apcs like stryker a bradly posses aa weapons to fend off air attacks since darts have no missiles they cant use stand off tactics such as fire from outside the tanks aa range like our fighters could cause ours have missiles since the dart only has its gun it has to fly closer and by then the tanks aa will open up a abrams on its left side of the turret has a launcher that can fire 2 tow missiles for aa defense and bradly and stryker has a 5.56mm gatling gun to fend off air attacks

i see what you mean but just think or better yet picture a wraiths response when he sees a big ass hulking piece of metal on wheels or tracks with bigass guns blazzing im sure he will be like wtf is that those damn humans what kind of assasult machine is this

thats a good point but a tank wouldnt be able to fit through the gate there too wide.

why not just beam all of the wraith into space. then move in some ground troops?

so we make a couple of cloaked anti gravity satalites like the one from gemini with beaming tech on it and send one through the gate have it acend into orbit a bit, cloaked, and then beam some wraith.

im afraid you are mistaken because in ark of truth they beamed down to the planets surface and then back up while cloaked.
