If I remember correctly,
The wormhole can only transport from one stargate to the destination stargate.

If this is true how are they able to communicate between planets with the aid of a stargate?

Matter travels one way through a wormhole. Energy travels both ways. EM radiation is energy, therfore radio signals pass both ways through the wormhole.

What they said. Which is why I don't belive the Gate to be a wormhole but rather a spacial warping device, drawing wo point in realspace togeter to allow instantanious travel and communication.

Wormholes are sticly one way, energy and matter. GW has an article on it.
