    Counterstrike Wave

In "Counterstrike," since the Odessey was close enough to the planet to beam them up and the Dakara weapon covers a planet and its surrounding space, how did the Odessey avoid the energy wave?

For me this was abit of a plot hole, but then the weapon was used by Carter she used it in conjunction with all the stargates in the galaxy this could have some influence on its reach

the oddy probably had its shields up, lessening the effect of the weakened wave[by the time its in space, inverse square law makes the wave very weak]

and due to the all-devastating effect, the wave would be used "up". the ARG one only worked on replicators. its like shooting a laser which only affects iron, so to say. shoot it at a piece of iron, and the beam weakens. fire it at carbon, and theres no effect.

even though such a laser doesnt exist, its purely analogical

Well let's start with the obvious. they were on the far side of the planet to stay out of scanning range of the ori warship?

          Errrrr.....no.

It jumped to hyperspace before the wave hit it.
I'll drag out a screenshot after dinner.
In a few hours or so.

          .........Unless I'm wrong.

Here, I produced a sequence of screenshots for you.
The Odyssey jumped to Hyperspace before the wave hit.

I think the timing might be a bit too fast.
But it was fun to make.
                  Thanks

ah i thought you meant when the stargate was activated on the orignal planet and the wave came through not at Dakara,

but at dakara they jumped into hyperspace
