Ori tech vs ancient tech

The ori vs the ancients each at the peak of their technological development. The ori can create planetary shields, they could modify their singularity to just be a shield and they can probably create power generation technology similar to ZPM's. They have extremely powerful starship shields and also have a lot of technology similar to the ancients. The priors have ascended knowledge the ancients don't. I still put my money on the Ancients. Who do you think would win. If the asgard can develop technology to fight the Ori the ancients could do the exact same thing. Stargate Command and the IOA were going to unleash the replicators on the Ori. The Ancients created the Asurans which are much more advanced than the normal bugs and can adapt technology to suit their needs. The Asurans, much like the other replicators, can adapt to any strategy and weapon thrown at them. If their ships were made of replicator blocks they could adapt to anything. So please put your opinions down.

the only thec we have seen from the ori are there ships and troops weapons

I'd say the Ancients, Drones can bring down an Ori Mother ship as we discovered in the episode The Road Not Taken so if the Ancients had a fleet of say 25 Auroras each powered off of a ZPM they could probably take out the Ori's fleet.
Also I think that the Ancient's satellite beam weapon could do serious damage to an Ori mother ship as well, this is of course just speculation on my part, but it was powerful enough to bring down a Hive ship in a single shot, when our Asgard Plasma beam weapons take like 4-6 shots to do the same job.
I think it's a pretty safe bet that the Ancients could at least build weapons capable of destroying Ori Mother ships.

I think the Ancients would own the Ori. A single 5 million year old Ancient outpost can decimate a fleet of over 30 upgraded Ha'taks, a 10,000 year old Ancient satellite which is damaged has the capability to take down 3 Wraith Hives and presumably their escorts. If the Ancients combined these into a single vessel it would beat anything IMO.

That comment may have made sense before 'Unending', however Ori tech is clearly not that great seeing as the Asgard wonder beams made short work of the Ori ships.

But you have to remember the Ori didn't equip their followers with the absolute best technology- only what they needed to get the ob done.

Can you prove that? We can only go by what we've seen on screen. The Ori should have better technology but we haven't seen it.

Using that logic I could say the same about the Acncients.

What we've seen of the Ancients IMO is at least as good as that of the Ori. There is the possibility the Ori could counter the Ancients faster though...

Why? Ascended beings don't know everything. The Ori gave them what they knew. Chiefly, powerful energy. The Ori weren't a technological race. They didn't know of the more advanced Ancient tech. And the Ori probably wouldn't counter Ancient tech, as they are a scientific race. They'd probably create more powerful weapons. I'd say the Ori and Ancients would be pretty matched. However, the Ancients would have the benefit of more technology. The Ancients would eventually find a way to bypass Ori shields, possibly by advancing the drone technology. And just because the latest Asgard beams were able to destroy an Ori ship doesn't make the Ori ships weak. It also doesn't make the Asgard the msot advanced race in the galaxy. It merely means that the Asgard were able to study the results of the Camelot battle, the Ori weapons and sheilds, and were able to develop a weapon similar to the Ori weapons and designed to weaken the Ori shields.

The Ori ships were built by a bunch of Medieval peasants so that's got to count for something.

After Unending if we had a fleet of O'neills with all the latest tech,against the ori fleet we could obliterate the ori.

The Ori may be powerful but the level of technology the asgard produced at the end tipped the balance. As for Ancient vs Ori I think the Ancient would just win but barely

If the Ancient really wanted to they could power an Aurora class ship off of multiple ZPMs and then they could probably take dozens of blasts from and Ori mother ships main weapon, hooked up with Ancient satellite beam weapons they'd cut through the Ori's shields in seconds I think.

Does anyone recall if it was mentioned in 'The Road Not Taken' just how many Drones were used to bring down a 'Toilet Ship' ?

I think the Ori would be more than a match for the Ancients in the Pegasus. But the Stargate franchise seems to suggest that the Ancients made extreme a lot of technological progress when they returned to the Milky Way. Or the may have made it during the Siege, but couldn't beat the Wraith with their limited resources. But the Ancient in the years before all of them were ascended would beat the Ori.
