Y'know, call me a fuddy-duddy, but I can't for the life of me figure out why those Ghost Hunter shows are so popular. Yeah, it might be interesting to watch one every now & then, maybe once or twice a season, but every week?? Seems to me, the tests and experiments they do are always 'inconclusive'... in other words, there might be some strange anomaly, but an actual ghost (or ghostly behavior) is never clearly seen or heard, so nothing is ever completely confirmed. Isn't that how that show goes?

Love "Eureka," that show is so cute & quirky (altho now that Stark is gone, I hope they don't push the Carter/Alison thing too much or too quickly). And those cheesy Saturday night movies... I think they're funny, and some of them are very entertaining. (Notice I didn't say 'good.' Altho, some of them are so bad, they kinda are a little bit good.)

Bad thing is, this article didn't specifically mention "SGA." I guess now that the show's been cancelled, it doesn't matter anymore.

Oh yeah, one more thing... can't figure out why SciFi shows, of all things, wrestling. That's not exactly what I would call sci fi. (altho it has the 'fiction' part down pat.)

What I don't get is those scifi original movies, ya know the ones they show on saturday's. The mutated bug of the week stuff...2 million viewers? Hard to believe.

By the way, the thread title would indicate some value of atlantis, but it isn't even mentioned specifically..so not sure what the story has to do with atlantis.

Well...Stargate Atlantis did air during the summer ON the SciFi Channel.

          And yet...SGA is not mentioned.

It's sort of like adding insult to injury, I guess.

NBC Universal has issued a press release touting the successes of the Sci Fi Channel over the summer...

..That's good news, but the more interesting bit might be two shows that are missing from the list. In a PR age where any show can have its numbers spun in a positive way, even if it means being the number one show on Wednesday nights among diabetic albinos with anger management issues, there is always a way to spin it. Yet, there is oddly no mention of either Stargate Atlantis or The ECW in this release. Curious. I suspect Atlantis was left out so as not to fan the flames of the cancellation controversy. Why hand your most ardent critics ammunition? The ECW? I take that as a nod that everyone, even those at the network, realizes just how ridiculous it is to program that show on that channel.

I can't figure out why fans can't figure it out.

                Spoiler:
It's the money...and the young demographics...and the longterm relationship between the WWE and the USA Network

That's not it. Since the ECW's ratings are down since the previous year, it can't be acknowledged as one of the reasons the network's overall ratings are up.

Who in their right mind watches wrestling on a scifi channel? Seriously...if you watch wrestling on a scifi channel there's something wrong with you. Aren't there about a half-dozen other channels that show wrestling?
That is just my two cents.
