I thought it was debris too but it looked exactly like the creature that crawled out. I'm glad others caught it.

It's not necessarily big, it's just really close to the camera.

It could have been an egg or a larva that got into Rodney's body when he was underwater. I'm sure he swallowed some water, who wouldn't under those circumstances?
