Beaming in /Out with shield & Transport Ring

    In episode 'Search and Rescue"
Daedulas can destory Michael's Cruiser in one shoot ,but beacuse Teyla was onboard, Colonel Caldwell only shot at their hyperdrive, and later to rescue Sheppard and Ronon he lower the Shield to beam them abord, as result Daedulas had took heavy damage during that time. Both ship were heavly damage in stalemate.

Colonel caldwell descision was unstandable, But it is just like star Trek , you can not beam thing in with the shields on,but in stargate you can still beam things out when the shield on.Like in Seige pt 3, Daedulas beam the soldier carrying the ZPM to Atlantis with the shield on, they were attack by a dozen hive ship at the time. And the one and only time they were able to beam nuclear warhead onto the hive ship, but the Wraith turn on their jamming field everysince.
It make sense ,since you can fire weapon out with the shield's on, similar principle.

In star Trek, Can you beam things out with the shield on?
But in starTrek if two ship can connect their 'Transporter Room", they can send things in/out both ship with the shield on.

Now with sometimes more than one 304 available in the SGA show,we are going to have situtation when they can't lower the shield.
But 304 still has the Transport Ring, because it is use for ships internal deck transport or for many Goa'uld ,Ancient & Ori rings platform in milkyway.

Remember when Jack rescue Thor from Anubis's ship, during the ring transport the shield of the mother ship is still on, but change Fequency or something.SG1 use the ring to get on board.

So in many possible situation when 304 with their shield on, they can use the Ring room as Transport.May be they should put a ring in Atlantis , in case they want to trnasport something in/out with the city's shield on.
We can call it the 'Ring Room", since Transporting Room is alreay use on "Trek"
and so far we havn't seen any rings in Atlantis, so we don't have to worry about other people using the ring to get onboard, like SG1 had done so many time to Goa'uld and Ori ship

i confident we don't need a ring room to achieve this, McKay can most probably modify the city transporters to do the trick
