    Just a quick technical question about the Stargate:

    When you dial a gate address, do you dial just six symbols? With the seventh (point-of-origin) being "auto-inputed" by the outbound gate itself?

      Nope, you need to imput a seven manualy, the original movie made that quite clear.

          Probably in case you don't have a DHD. Some kind of safety measure. But yes except that, it's pretty damn stupid.

            Yeap if you can't find the point of origin you can't dial out because other wise the movie would have been like 20 minutes long hehehe
