If anyone would like to say where they are, we can restart the great 'where are you' thread.
I'll keep a track of who is where, and we can have updates now and again.
Or not.
I'll start the ball rolling: I'm from Yorkshire (and since the world breaks down into Yorkshire and those poor souls who aren't, that's an easy thing to keep track of) but i'm actually located in Germany.

Well I am from California. I live on the coast and have an ocean view. While I don't think that California is the center of the universe unlike some people with their home places (cough...Yorkshire...cough) I do sit back and smile when I am in shorts and a t-shirt and having a BBQ in the middle of December while I see news story about snow storms elsewhere. :p

:) Thank goodness where we live (Central Texas) we've had very few icy weather. Icy roads (especially black ice) can be scary, but hydroplaning can be just as scary  and we do get lots of rain in the spring and hurricane season.

I've been to San Antonio only once and it's beautiful. I would love to visit it again. How cool that you have family in Dallas. My 2 sons are studying up in Dallas. Do you visit Dallas often then?

I have this theory that Canada's planning on taking over the world. Everyone thinks the Canadians are all nice and peaceful and gentle and boring, but I'm not convinced. Sure, you may have given up your nuclear weapons (though did you really?), but have you given up your dreams of world conquest? I've been to Canada, and I've seen a lot of people doing keep-fit, and I believe that the only two reasons for doing keep-fit is to get thin or to secretly train for the physical fitness required for total global domination, and they were already pretty thin!
I'm warning you guys (I use the term loosely) that if you should try anything on my watch... I've got a supersoaker filled with weed-killer and I'm not afraid to use it!
Edit: My mum was watching me type and she's told me tell you that whilst I may not be afraid to use my supersoaker filled with weed-killer, I'm not allowed to do so. But I'll be watching you...

We've got snow, summer for maybe 30 days, tornado warnings, and cheese.
Nothing much going on here. Pretty lonely on this rocky beach.
Where's Jack O'Neill when I need him?
I'm looking at all these people from overseas, and you're nearby.

How stupid of me for even thinking about leaving Yorkshire!!
Oh yeah, gotta love Harrogate, full of tourists (usually those of the over 65 variety), the conferance centre, home of hte annual knitting and stitching show and tea...and you can't forget all the trendy and exciting shops that sell tea cosies!!! (If anyone was unaware, tea's pretty big in Harrogate, can't stand the stuff personally)
There's also a fair proportion of American's with the Air Force base just up the road, unfortunately haven't seen Jack around!!

Any Texans want to stand up and be counted? Conversely... do the rest of those in the USA mind if I include Texas in there?
Sure I want to be. We are a unique entity existing within the boarders of the U.S. or I like to think we are. Hey we used to be our own republic, that should count for something. :D
Proud native Texan here who was transplanted to Mississippi when I was 5 and then to central Louisiana a year later where I have remained for the past 20 years. Currently I still have one foot in Louisiana and one in Texas because I'm looking for a teaching job in either area but preferably Texas. Can't say I'll miss Louisiana if I leave cause I never planned on staying here longer than I had to. One thing I'll always enjoy about the area was that we used to have England Air Force Base, and the A-10 Warthogs always flew over our house until the base was closed due to downsizing in the early '90s.

well for those that had given me red reps thanx i for one am a blunt honest person i would be lying if i said it hasent got me into trouble in the past but i find it works in my favour most of the time, i wont beat around the bush and give you sweet nothings i will say it as i see it.
im supprised how many people find it hard to speak to people honestly these days its just so much easier to be honest i dont really care if my opinion offends other too much i will however respect people and part of that respect is not to be a liar and a deseatful person to somone who deserves better than that im sort of like mary from big brother i hate dishonest people and lying anyway ive said my peice i wont harp on,
no regrets in life its to short for that :D
You can only be blunt and honest about things and people you know! You do not know me and you, my lad, never ever will  .
I will accept the above as an apology because I don't wish to be petty. However do you really need to be-little people on the "net" to get your rocks off?
