    Drones

iI am sorry if this has already been done

The main problem with the drone weapon is that it has a limited number of drones but why cant we make drones there must be designs for them and materials used in the Atlantis database

If this has already been posted or i have said something really stupid be merciful

we haven't figured out how to make them yet. not stumbled across the designs in the database or the machine to build them in atlantis.

u wud think someone wud of made it someones sole priority to look for it in atlantis or the database.

also dont we have a user friendly ancientwoman hologram index finder thing that daniel jackson and the other colonel (from the siege) used.

I guess Ancient technology is too advanced and complicated to make

      Unlike those Asgard beams lol.
Robert Jastrow (self-proclaimed agnostic): "For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

Wel wach rising again and really listen to what Mckay is saying, He has no idea how the stuff works, fast forward a few years and sudenly were trying and suceeding at rivaling the Ancients greatest acompishments, the same people who built the stargate network for crying out loud! Arcturus was teh crown jewel; of the Anciets at the time of it's making, and they couldn't get it to work, (having spent possible decades or centuries alredy trying to make it work), give Mckay and carter a few years, throw in a smart idea from his sitser, and you have a workign version of the above.

The Ancients were supremly dumed down....

It's possible we already know how to make them we just don't have the infrastructure to mass-produce them.

We would not need to mass-produce them 5 a week would be all we need because its not like Atlantis gets attacked very often

No kidding. Not just their tech, but they're being more advanced than the Tauri. It like they're just normal humans now...it's pathetic. It's like nobody can be better than Earth anymore. Not true in the original SG-1.

Remember the ancient frozen in the ice in antarctica? She survived, intact, in a block of ice for what, 3 million+ years. Now take a look at the Pegasus ancients on the Aurora. They couldn't hack 10,000 years in specially designed stasis pods.

And the worst thing is, it wasn't always like that, look at Rising, and the first season, they were great. But then it went completly downhill.

It's like whenever they get something cool, way beyond earth-tech or human limits, they then have to destroy that thing in order to preserve the human ego.

Goa'uld can live forever with sarcophagus...oops, wait, they grow old and die too.

Asgard are powerful, big brothers to earth...no, wait, they need our simple kinetic weapons(p-90s) to kill replicators when their energy weapons can't. Give me a break, they can just build kinetic weapons themselves. They're super smart and they can't even make a slug thrower? Come on.

Wraith can use mental abilities to mess with your head...oh, shoot, that was just the first few episodes. Guess the wraith got tired of that trick.

The wraith defeated the ancients...but a few, poorly equipped Tauri can hold them at bay long enough to turn them against each other and blah, blah, blah.

Da, Da dumb dumb dumbed down!

wow, ive been waiting for a good run down like that...lol, well, to all you people who ask questions about tech and whatnot......^^^^ thats the reason why, "this" can't beat "that" and why "something" doesnt work the way it did millions of years ago......such as the ancient warships, these, crazy, drone equipped ships that was like the mother lode until they dumbed down the drone and then they dumb down the ships to be blown up with a few missiles from a few 302s.....wow. its something to see the progression and degression of th SG universe

Well we probably don't get an indefinite amount of drones for obvious plot reasons. Otherwise we would get each time the Wraith attack a Antartic battle situation. We just fire a massive drone attack and we are save again. Also plasma beams are more effective and drones would require vast resources.

well, tauri surpremacy gets old. i dont want "old SG1". id go watch that show. but this is
RIDICULOUS. yes, the wraith are in a civil war, and there isnt enough food, bla bla bla bla. i know, its logical. but the ancients look like humans with a few too many fancy toys. arcturus anyone? scale it down, and go annihilate that big wraith fleet in orbit. subspacetab anyone? with atlantis under permanent siege, you dont have to worry about the excess energy. imo, ASGARD reign surpreme, not ancients.

she was very close to ascention far closer then the crew of the aurora were.
